Do you think Ezekiel 9 applies symbolically today?

Ezekiel 9:1-..... read all. ....
Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. 5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:

The things done in the past were in many ways a typology of today.

I see here that God is calling his Angels for the final Judgment.
But will seal His people so that they are not hurt.

The last events will be deadly and our only safety will be God's protection because we have His seal.

Those that sigh and cry are those that hate sin and the sinfulness around them. They are sad because of the state the world has become.
Those that are not signing or cry because of the sinful state of the world will be destroyed with the world in the final days.

Eze 9:1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.

Eze 9:9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.
Eze 9:10 And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.

I do not think it has any relation to today but just a judgment upon Israel because of their wickedness like people have been judged throughout history like Sodom and Gomorrah.

Israel has been punished many times and the righteous have been saved.

Like it always is and how it will be again.

Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
Rev 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

But the 144,000 that are sealed in Revelation who are from Israel the nation of Israel will be in the truth so there is no punishment on Israel.

They are the firstfruits of restored Israel.

Like Christ is the firstfruits of the saints.

Literal Israel are nothing today.

Mat 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Gal 3:26-29
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

There is not 2 groups

We are the children of God or we are not.

There is Only ONE tree in Paul's illustration.
Rom 11:15-17
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

They can be saved in the same way that Gentiles are saved ... by faith in Jesus
 
Not true from His view, He told us He will keep His promises. He made a promise to them they are His covenant people, He will keep that promise, we are His people grafted in for the same reward as we live to be conformed to the image of the Son.

Yeah, all things that have yet to come upon the world can be found in shadow form in the Old Testament.

Christians are sealed (“marked”) by the Holy Spirit.

Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

God's people will be known by the seal of God in their foreheads

This is a knowledge of God. The forehead is the place were we make choices. Having God's name is having the character of God.
