"The foolishness of God is higher than the wisdom of man."

God has gifted us with the sense of humor. He is above the human sense of humor.
If we having the sense of humor are part of God, then God has a sense of humor.

Just a question with no deep or hidden meanings

I have a funny little story about that. :)

This happened when I was still kind of new in my faith ...

I was walking my daughter to the bus stop one morning and it was snowing like there was no tomorrow. Giant flakes cascaded down around us. Without thinking I said to my daughter "Do you think God has dandruff?" ... we both laughed. Then I guess the devil must have tried to use that against me because suddenly I became afraid. "Oh no, I thought ... have I offended God? Does He have a sense of humor?" ... I continued to feel bad and worried for about an hour or so. Then came a knock at the door. It was a neighbor who handed me a bottle of Head & Shoulders dandruff shampoo. I thanked her, shut the door and had a good belly laugh. Thanking God for letting me know that He had a sense of humor ... and even jokes back sometimes :)

If the preaching of the cross is what is considered "foolishness" unto them that perish, but it did please God by the foolishness of preaching (the same) to save them that believe

What
is considered the foolishness of God (which is wiser then men) is the cross itself.

Since the
preaching of the cross itself is what is considered foolishness unto men)

But if we would equate that particular foolishness of God to a sense of humor in anyway (on God's part)
that would seem to come pretty close equating the cross of Christ (which is considered the foolishness, even of God) unto men with a sense of humor on God's (as it pertains to that). Somewhat making God agreeable in that particular manner (or intention) as it relates to the cross, though.

See what I mean by that? Not that you did that, you just posted a "sense of humor" thing beneathe "the foolishness of God"but its the cross of Jesus Christ men call foolishness, and yet here the foolishness of God
(as men might consider it) is wiser then men, but its not Gods sense of humor. The cross would be far from any joke on Gods part (that pertains to the eternal salvation of our souls). We might want to be a little careful around there though.

I do amateur stand up comedy so I'll answer this. God has a sense of humor. Many Christians ... not really. I once performed at an open mic night and I made a joke about Joseph Smith. This Mormon guy and his girlfriend confronted me after the show with some "not so Christian-like" words. My response was to ask him what he's doing in a coffee shop if he's mormon. That made him even more mad. I was part of a comedy ministry at my church until I was asked to leave. I told the ministry leader that I started out performing at Christian comedy shows because you can get away with weaker material, no one is going to boo you off stage at a christian show. The last straw was when I asked if I could perform 2-3 minutes of pg-13 material for the college ministry. When I told a joke about the state of Florida being shaped like a penis he completely lost it. (This is a guy who admitted to me that he owns Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle dvd's) So it was hypocritical nonsense.

Mormons aren't Christians and Florida looks nothing like a penis.

I agree Tintin ....lol I don't know how he learned his geography....or who his teacher was....but if you think Florida looks like a penis there's something major wrong with you...

You must have seen a lot of penis's with your expert knowledge. But here's something you can show the kids. Take a picture of the African continient and rotate it counter-clockwise. It looks just like a dragons head! (you can even see Madagascar as the smoke coming from his nostrils). Maybe I should write a children's book when I find more.

I have read somewhere that the Hebrew word for rejoice is to leap or spin and even in that direction of joy

Even rejoicing over one can go in either direction of good or destruction

Duet 28:32 And it shall come to pass,
that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you;
so the LORD will
rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought;
and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

The Lod laughs

Psalm 37:13 The Lord shall laugh at him:
for he seeth that his day is coming.

Yesssss!
Because I have laughed thru pain....
For heaven is to gain!

Don't cry!
Read Genesis :)

I will hurt with you....
But
I'm gonna love you too!

Be strong!

As it says in scripture, 'a merry heart doth medicine'. And in scripture, the lord tells us to always ' be Joyful' Thessalonians.
My beloved Director friend of my local Healing Rooms showed me a scripture that tells us God definately has a sence of humour,-Especially, in Psalm 2: 4 ' He who sits in the Heavens shall laugh'. Dear Lord, help me spread your fragrance, wherever, I may go!

YES!! YES!! for sure God has the best funniest sense of humor!!! Proverbs 17:22 speaks of a merry heart.

"A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones." Amplified Bible

God is so much for joy and happiness and laughter that being merry is health to our bones! It's like good medicine!! Even studies have been done about laughing and how our bodies give off certain chemicals that help the body work better and even help in healing. Yes, God invented a sense of humor.
