Hi! First post here, hope I'm doing this right, haha.
Recently (as of recently, I mean today) I got a venus flytrap. I've been wanting one for a while. Carnivorous plants really fascinate me, God created them so intricately and it's so cool! My venus flytrap is in a very small plastic pot, and it's got a root coming out of the drainage holes, so my dad ordered me some (carnivorous) potting soil, and some tall plastic pots with good drainage. I gave it some water from our dehumidifier as I read you shouldn't give it tap water, and I cut off a dead trap off the plant. The stuff I ordered comes in on Thursday, so I aim to repot it then.
Is there anything else important I need to know about taking care of it? I'm going to be growing it indoors, and it's going to sit on the windowsill where it should get a lot of sunlight. I'm also curious on how dormancy works with them. Thanks, have a blessed day!
