That’s why he preached the gospel for a couple years and then later started teaching bout his death and resurrection in Jerusalem we need to hear the word to be born again so Jesus did this
Are you saying the gospel is not about the death, burial, and resurrection for sins?

Friend, I am not a mind reader. I was pointing out an implication of Limited Atonement. Let's say it was 60-40 and the point would still stand. Also, tell me one thing, what if God did not die for you? What if He does not love you and does not want you to be saved? According to you, He does not want all to be saved, so that is possible within your worldview.

According to me, and most of us, I think, who've responded on this thread, God clearly says He wants everyone to be saved.

Let's examine 3 verses:

1) God, "who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim 2:4)

2) "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Pet 3:9)

3) Christ died for everyone's sins, not just yours and mine:
"He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 Jn 2:2)

Please quote these 3 verses in your response and give us your exegesis of them. Then we can move forward. Thanks.

I appreciate your concern. It disturbs me that most on this forum belittle God's power, in the fact that they say it is God's will to deliver all mankind to everlasting heaven, and that man has the ability to keep God from doing his will.

Dan 4:35 says he has his will in the armies of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay his hand.

Matt 9:6 says that Jesus has power to forgive sins. If he choose to forgive all mankind their sins, then why dose he not?

Matt 28:18 - Jesus says that all power in given unto him in heaven and in earth.

John 17:2 - And thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

The same people probably agree with handing someone a parachute and pushing them out of an airplane telling them they’ll figure it out.
That's amusing and perhaps in some cases true. But I personally have no problem defending all who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved as easily as and the Lord added daily to the church such as should be saved. That's why in threads like this if I feel led to share some insight to someone I believe is open to further understanding I'll share, but usually after a few posts I'll rarely engage.
I see very often how a singular belief can shape a person's whole perspective on a far reaching number of doctrines and individuals can take an exercise meant to stimulate and propagate the faith and turn it into one that divides and confuses the faith.
I'm all for healthy debate. But I draw my lines of division at truth, not people. And I can be edified in the simple truth of a child as easily as by the most renowned of scholars.
I noticed early on that it was commonplace here to put truth above people. While I am in no way denigrating the value of truth, I value more the people who hold it in varying degrees.

Are you saying the gospel is not about the death, burial, and resurrection for sins?
Nope for sure that’s the gospel

Im saying saying that doesn’t change or erase this in any way

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: …Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:22, 24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I'm saying what Jesus said comes with what Jesus did it doesn’t cancel out his word it’s the first part of the gospel we need to believe after of course believing who Jesus is we need to believe what he did , and we need to hear what he said will save our souls

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we have to hear the gospel Jesus taught we don’t throw that out because he differed and died for us is what I’m saying

that doesn’t begin and end the gospel it’s something we need to always remember and believe ( that’s why we’re supposed to take communion when we come together in the right spirit breaking bread )

most certainly the gospel is centered upon Jesus birth , life as a man among us , his preaching and teaching all who believed him , the power of his word to command the wind and see , raise the dead , wither nature , command evil spirits , heal incurable disease , and his love is finally shown as he suffers as a sinner and dies having no sin of his own , doing that for all creation

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

whoever isn’t too proud to let the lord teach them the truth all we have to do is realize “ what Jesus said is what Jesus said

Jesus paid for all of mankinds sins, That all might be saved.
Yes God wants everyone to be saved.
But the choice is for us.

Jos 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD,

choose you this day whom ye will serve;

whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

It all boils down to "who will hear his voice", and that is not the natural man.
It boils down to those who reject what he said

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s because they are enamored with the flesh like we all are before we acknolwedge our own sins we’re meant to share the truth of Jesus word so this can happen

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:19, 24-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s nothing wrong with saying we’re saved by grace through faith that’s true , it’s wrong when we won’t acknolwedge Gods word and call it faith

everyone is a captive of sin and bound to death we can be saved by Jesus and the gospel

You must have the truth, before you can suppress it.

Read about the natural man in 1 Cor 2:14, and tell me if he has the truth

This relates to the house of Israel,(God's people) who turned away from God, and worshiped idols, whom God blinded them to see the truth, until they repent.

If we do not see, from these scriptures, how nasty we are, when we are walking in the flesh, then we have missed the message of these scriptures,.
My heart hurts for you.
The natural man can indeed read Scripture and not really see what God is trying to say. It's only by the Holy Spirit that things are revealed to us. But that doesn't mean that everything is obscured. The notion that the natural man has no idea about God is completely refuted by Scripture. There is no "regeneration" prior to Salvation like you seem to be putting out there... that's practically delusional, imho. There's only God giving nonbelievers glimpses of the human condition in regard to Almighty God, Truth. And I see that as Just and Merciful.

I agree with 1 Cor. 2:14 in that it tells us all how we are without Christ. I also see how this verse applies to you... but I'm sure you won't agree with that. Your man-made belief and false Gospel are blinding you to what is obvious to anyone... and I do believe that these verses that we've discussed are available to the natural man, Truth that is not obscured.

Praying for your eyes to be opened. Peace.

Can you tell me, what you think I claimed? Maybe you read me wrong.
You are as capable as any of following a conversation back through previous posts to see what was said. Why are you averse to doing so? Your stubbornness is as telling as your forgetfulness. It might be time to humble yourself, and admit you were wrong to claim John 6:37 said anything at all about the death of Jesus. Otherwise, you twist and misrepresent the Scriptures at your own peril. I did not read you wrong.

You claim that Jesus died for the remission of sins for all mankind, which is a contradiction to John 6:37, which says that he only died for those that God gave to him, furthermore, Jesus's sacrifice was to God, for God's acceptance, and not to mankind, for mankind's acceptance.
Why do you claim Scriptures says something it does not? John 6:37 ~

New International Version
All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

New Living Translation
However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

English Standard Version
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

Berean Standard Bible
Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away.

Berean Literal Bible
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one coming to Me, I shall not cast out.

King James Bible
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

New King James Version
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

I relate to that. I can not remember when I was born again. It comes as a gentle breeze, not knowing where it came from, or where it went. I believe that most people who think that they remember when, are mistaken it to when they were converted, which is different than when they were born again, and comes after they were born again. I remember my conversion came like a fourth of July fireworks, at the age of 62.
That’s a good thought mi amigo

what if they simply didn’t know this part

“but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Sounds like responding to the Word.
