I think that you can find the answers here in luke 16: 20-26
Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Luk 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence.
This scripture and there in is the truth, however uncomfortable it may be. This is my belief on this matter. If we had the chance to live our entire lives with the knowledge of jesus and all his righteousness but still were kind of like, eh i like living the way i am and i should listen to jesus' word but that isn't in my agenda right now, maybe one day when i get older, right now i am having too much fun. Then bang you die. You get to hell and are like WHOA! ok jesus i believe in you now come save me please because this place sucks. This is the way we want to see it but in reality it just doesn't seem so. Reason being because you never placed your life and faith in jesus christ. It took the devil, hell and eternal torment to make you call on the lords name and ask to be saved.
