President Trump has ordered the flags to be at half mast to honor her passing.
Howdy partner, I suppose someone will have to go on record then! What did make her so lovable? If you count the nearly 200 major music industry's awards she amassed, all toll, her 'list of awards and nominations' would likely be at the heart of it, though not solitarily. Her wit was instantaneous. But that is as far as my estimation of her being 'a great American' example could be stretched. I say that at a safe distance from malice, being raised by Country Music loving parents, I saw first hand the growth of her eight number ones to add to her world-class portfolio. No one could have a bad word to say about her. She was truly beloved.
You can go on the record and imply Dolly wasn't kind, witty, generous,a Christian,a good person?Howdy partner, I suppose someone will have to go on record then! What did make her so lovable? Since her passing now approaching a week from tomorrow, I have immersed myself into her many guest appearances on Johnny, David, Leno, etc., as well as a spattering of international appearances. It was an eye-opener, even after all these years. In light of what I have gathered, Dolly's chief claim to a people's heart is her un-canny ability to project a professional who remained virtually untouched by the usual superstar scandal and controversy trap that largely for her, went along in a shroud of innocence.
But I guess that is what America has arrived to, throwing off a steadfast zeal for the Father's will for a vulgar foul-mouthed entertainer, which largely, was at the basis of her wit which would paralyze many a discussion.
Imply? Well you got me there seeing how seamless AI video content is from reality. Who knows, maybe even scores of old stuff too. Yet, it remains acknowledged, accepted, championed. But, if the implication is AI's fault, then the manner of the life she lived did not expose her profession of knowing God as false and spiritually shipwrecked. You can go on the record and imply Dolly wasn't kind, witty, generous,a Christian,a good person?
No, no you cannot.

She brought a lot of love and light into the world.Wow
When I first got into Dolly Parton songs I didn't really know much about her except she was the buxom blonde who spoke with the country accent and wore cowboy boots and flashy rhinestones.
I mean I like most music in general but Dolly had something special. She was the real deal in that she played her own guitar, wrote most all her own songs, and she came from a very humble background and wasn't afraid to share or disguise where she came from.
She also had a very distinctive voice that other country singers don't have, like they overdo it a bit but Dolly just knew the right way to phrase a song and she could adlib too! A lot of country songs are about no-good no-hoper husbands who drink or cheat a lot...but Dolly somehow made it funny/meaningful rather than a pity-fest.
I write as if she's in the past already but I think she was larger than life and for those who don't know her or aren't aware of her (maybe born too late) you have something rare and precious to discover when you listen to her or watch her performances on screen.
