Well...there you go again...firmly STUCK in Moses law. No point talking to you.
Yes. Yes you are.

2 Corinthians 3:7-8
[FONT=&quot]7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

The basic law for Christians is not the 10 Commandments.

The basic law for Christians is the law of Righteousness. The law of the spirit.

Romans 8:1-4
[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.[/FONT]

IF you could bring yourself to read some of my other posts you would see that the basic law for Christians are the 10 Commandments...and 'they' are not to be broken...GOD having spoken them HIMSELF to all the people - NOT Moses only.

Sorry they are not, they are part of the 613 and for you to not understand this...We have 2 commands under the new covenant....

Sorry they are not, they are part of the 613 and for you to not understand this...We have 2 commands under the new covenant....

At least you acknowledge that we have commandments to follow. Just like Adam and Moses, etc.

The 2 commandments of Christ are like a tree root.
The 10 commandments stem from the root, as branches.

How does a person love God? Give instructions of how to do it.

"Well you start by..."

Not taking His name in vain?
Not worshiping idols?

"Yeah... but..."

We have something better than an earthly temple, we have God as our priest and king, and who forgives us. We aren't condemned in Him.

BUT! Why is there always a but?

Lord Jesus tells us that the people who don't follow His commandments will be cast out.

How can a person be saved yet have to work for salvation?

This whole issue is faith vs. works.

You're preaching faith without works. Faith without works is dead.

Beta and myself are trying to tell you that the first part of the 10 commandments were telling Israelites HOW TO love God, and the second part of the 10 commandments told them HOW TO love their neighbor.

You don't send a person a birthday card 5 months after their birthday and claim that it doesn't matter when the actual date is because you have freedom to observe any day.

NO you are saying you obtain your righteousness and salvation from obedience to the law...which is contrary to scripture...

Gal 2.21

[SUP]21 [/SUP]I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.

Phil 3.9
[SUP]9 [/SUP]and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

NO, I'm saved by faith in Lord Jesus.

There's always a BUT.

Saved by grace. BUT
Free from the law. BUT

Are you not trying to follow the 2 commandments of Christ? How are your feet moving forward if you aren't?

"I'm invited to my dad's wedding"
"No, I'm not going to turn up, I'm celebrating it at home"
"Saturday? Well my dad loves me so I will just celebrate it on Thursday"

Matthew 22:
[SUP]10 [/SUP]So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For many are called, but few are chosen.

Invited to the wedding. BUT [you need to be dressed appropriately]

Saved by grace BUT He gave us commandments to follow. Simplified commandments. He's said several times that people who aren't following the golden rule will be cast out. Saved but cast out?

Matthew 7:24
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

It's a 2 way relationship.

When we view the law correctly, we will fulfill the righteous requirements of the law. When we've been born again by grace through faith and walk in newness of life, we will obey all of the law and prophets through this new life in Christ.

Maybe not perfectly, but we will walk in righteousness.

Romans 8:4 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

We can all be assured that if we've been born again, we'll be walking according to the Spirit.

What does that mean? The Spirit can't sin and is God so as we submit our lives to Him, we'll walk in
righteousness.

As we continue to die to our flesh and live for God, as we continue to walk in step with the Spirit, we'll walk in righteousness and not in a sinful lifestyle like we once did.

The righteous requirements of the law will be fulfilled in us. Loving God and loving our neighbor fulfills each and every law and prophecy. If we walk in love we'll do no harm to our neighbor.

God's law is now written our our hearts to always be within us and the Holy Spirit continues to lead and guide us into the truth that's been written on our hearts. No more is the law of Christ written on tablets of stone, but He inscribed His law into our inner most being and because it's written there, it doesn't condemn and it doesn't place us in bondage, but the law frees us up to obey it's righteous requirements through the power we have in Christ.

And if we are in need of correction, through the loving hand of God, He chastises us because we're His child. A loving father disciplines and corrects His child so he doesn't veer off the straight and narrow path that leads to everlasting life.

We're a work in progress because our old man wants to reign, but we must put off the old man and put on the new.

We've been set free from the condemnation and bondage of the law that can only kill to live in the grace and mercy and kindness of Christ that brings life within us to obey.

We must be led of the Spirit, walk in the Spirit ........... speak and walk to the glory of God. So let's be encouraged to not fulfill the deeds of the flesh, but instead produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit. We're producers now and produce life, exude life, live life because we're in the Life-Giver.

Before we produced death and lived death, but now we're alive if it's true that God's Spirit lives in us.

That's kind of the proof of the pudding so to speak. We will produce life or we'll produce death. It will show which spirit we're of. We can't live both.

The person producing life will live in righteousness and part of that new life is the sanctification process where we're learning and growing in the Lord. We'll make an oops, but God is faithful and just to forgive us an cleanse us when we go before Him to confess our sins.

What a mighty, loving and kind Father we have. I don't think that we quite realize all that the Lord has done for us, in us and through us. As we continue in Him, we want to live to please Him, we want to obey Him, we want to serve Him, we even want to die for Him. We die each and every day to our desires and to live for Him.

Within that intimate relationship with the Lord, the Spirit of life sets us free from the power of sin and death. We continue to see where we fail or fall short.

As God used
the prophet Nathan, God through His Spirit convicts us so that we'll repent and get cleansed daily. He draws us to Him like a magnet because we're now a part of Him and He is holy, righteous and good and now, that's now new nature in Him.

And our wanter has been changed. Before we didn't want to love God or please God or obey God. Our thoughts were totally opposed to anything to do with God and was totally on ourselves. What we wanted, what we desired and yearned for. What pleased our flesh without much thought to anyone else.

But now that our wanter is changed, our desires are for Him, for what He wants, for what He desires and as we walk in the Spirit, we live to please Him in everything and we begin to each day walk closer with Him and sin less and less.

What a glorious life we now live! I would never exchange it for anything this world has to offer. I can't wait to run into the arms of Jesus and we see Him face to face. I can't imagine what eternity will be like, but we're getting a taste of it when we're walking in newness of life in Him!

want to keep the Law better go back and worship the sabbaths days that got thrown off by leap years.

You want to be under the law, now that it's known to properly worship on the seventh day the rest, keep track of the leap years they will affect your outcome it adds a day every four years so it is important to those under the law.

Isaiah 43
17 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The Old Covenant has passed away and the New Covenant is in full effect. We have salvation under the blood of Jesus. Men could not follow the law because of indwelling sin and it could not set any free from sin. But thank God, he made a way….Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I’m not saying that means to go around breaking the commandments. The commandments are good and there’s nothing wrong with doing good, but the Law can’t save us, only Jesus can.

Well I might better just say the Lord blessed me and leave the joyous and exciting stuff out...lol

The Pharisees wouldn't hesitate to pull out the ox from the well, yet complain about folks picking food in the field. Times haven't changed much at all.

So lets keep what we like in the Bible and throw the rest out...what a modern day Judiazer you are....The Bible tells you to your face The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;and you deny it outright...Not so, I deny your personal opinion on that verse but not the verse itself. So I went to the scripture even the same author and found a place where he says much the same things but expaines what he means. You will quote one verse and put your own meaning to it.

How does it feel to keep putting Jesus back on the cross and crucifying him over and over and over...because you are too deceived to know any better.Jesus dies for our sins to forgive and cleanse that is my point. I question who is decieved when I can support my view from both the new and the OT just and the NT could prove theirs from the OT which you can not.

Do you keep all the hygiene and dietary laws? If you state they are not for today, youa re just playing with the law and a good little wannabe jew, but you are a sinner because you do not follow all of them...James 2.10
I only keep the laws the bible says to and the ones that it says not to I don't simple its just follow the word of God. In fact I can provide bible evidence for what I do and do not keep. Its really that simple. God says it I follow.

What sin do you convict me of? Maybe you should stop guessing what my problems are so as to dismiss your own guilt. Why is it that people always go on the personal attacks when they can't prove their point? No need Just accept the word as it reads. and make sure you know the OT which is the basis of the NT.

Believe it or not I am trying to help you here. Jesus is a complete and powerful saviour. Sin is our problem and He can take that problem away that is why He came. The Gospel is not Simply that Jesus forgives, Praise God he does forgive. But Jesus also cleanses us form sin and empowers us by His own righteousness that by being partakers of the Divine nature we overcome sin and no longer walk in it.

The problem here is the same as always, Communication. People don't stay in one place long enough to actually understand it. When scripture is posted I usually try to not simply quote a countering scripture, (although I have sometimes) because all that does is make the bible look like it is double minded.

That Is why I try to take the texts used by others and show their context does not allow for the way they have used it. If context is not part of the discussion then Opinions that are personal will rule the discussion.

If there is going to be any chance of moving forward then we must change the way in which we deal with topics on here. First establish a fact and then move on bit by bit.

Maybe start then at how things went wrong first. I will focus on earth,

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

God said that they should not eat of this tree but what did they do?

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

So what is the problem here is it:

A, Gods command not to eat.
B, The fact that they ate.

Is the command the problem or the action of Adam and Eve?

Feel free to use the surrounding context to make your point. Lets stay here till we either agree or can not agree. lets forget about what posts have come before so that we can start fresh. listening to each other.
