I think to many worry about emotions or emotional reaction. And if we do not feel sorry, then you have not repented.
In the military, you do not have time to feel sorry for your mistake, You get up. Adit you did wrong, and move on. Thats what we should do. Admit we made an error. We sinned, and move on,, Dwelling on sin is what keeps people back.

You cant have faith unless you change your thinking.
We are not saved by mere belief, but by faith..
Maybe that needs to be added.
Hear (the word)
Believe (contemplate what you heard, Chew on it (john 6))
Repent (change your thinking)
Faith (trust in what you heard)
Call out on jesus to be saved (rom 10)

What if mainly we are our emotional reaction to things.
Emotions summarise where we are at the moment and how we feel about it.
Sin is not some minor issue, it is a massive wrong focus, a fundamental flaw in relationship,
love, care and attention. If sin shows itself, we need to find out why we are so blind,
and ask ourselves what has lead up to it. We need most of all the Lords perspective, His
healing and purity, forgiveness, and love working. So dismiss sin, is often the very reason
we we commit it, oh it is nothing, minor, gone and forgotten. Purity is about perfection,
no spot, no wrinkle, no stain. So nothing in minor. The lake of fire is full of people who
think sin is minor.

No it is not. It is not giving the enemy (satan) time to attack because you are to focused on your mistake and not focused on him
An attack by the enemy based on real bad behaviour is a fair point.
In the Lords eyes this is a correct criticism. Job was praised for these reasons

The Lord was proud of Job because of his behaviour not his failure.
We do not bring honour to the King through our sin, but rightly we need to
humble ourselves and repent. Without this we are no different from sinners
who live in rebellion.
Haha! I don't know what song you're talking about. I was thinking of that man's funeral after 9\11 when a small plane seemed very close and a commentator said: stay calm, take off your shoes, and run! I think it was a presidents funeral or viewing for the public. Reagan maybe?
You know, Grace and Willie, you're not helpful at all. You're not being loving and kind - you're condemning and judgmental. You two have it all correct, you two know it all, you two have this little discussion going on between the two of you and it's all to judge whatever is said without any help.
If you don't want to add to this discussion and just want to sit back and judge everyone here because we don't happen to believe in your understanding of the various topics that are being discussed, of what value are you.
In fact, unless prodded, you don't even try to explain how we're wrong and how you're right. You're not helpful - you who claim to know the truth. You just throw out judgements.

He uses others to grow us in the virtue of patience. In this way, He blesses us by their hand.
I sent Ariel 10 full pages (because it was too long for the forum) and she didn't want to read it. And, please do not expect us to add to what we feel we have learned is incorrect teaching. (We're not Democrats, and don't just automatically do something like that to keep from hurting someone's sensitivities.)

You are taking what I have said completely wrong. What I have said is not condemning or judgmental at all. You are projecting this unto yourself and if you choose to do that - that is your choice but I don't think it is wise.
I won't speak for Willie but I am simply giving out my thoughts on the subject as has been asked by Ariel and I was not talking to you or referring to you or anyone else for that matter - I was just making a general statement.
Don't be offended because it was not meant towards you or anyone else. It's usually not good "to project" things unto ourselves when we are not even being addressed.
I am not here to "tell you want to believe". I speak what I believe about a subject and leave it in the hands of others and their Lord. What they do with it - is their business.

If you did not see it in this thread earlier then it would not help for me to point out specific posts in which it has happened.
But mocking and contemptuous sneers are not important (our Lord suffered much more for us and nothing said or done has caused even a drop of our blood to spill). They are only important because He uses them to our good and for our growth and to train us..
And we come to thank God for people He uses to bless us, even if they meant it for harm, He used it for good. So we thank Him for people then sit there in wonderment like...I didn't see that one coming...!
