Out of all th preachers and the like on TV, we finally have someone tell the truth of God's Word as is. No walking around it or changing it to suit mans ears, but what God says! Finally! I didn't see anyone get offended about th comment on it's wrong to sleep around? I'm pretty sure their more of them then LGBTs....

That's God not Phil ;) I just might start watching this show!
 
...and whoever wrote the article, they said true christians do not believe what Phill said.

we just can't have truth from the Bible. we have to create our own truths as we go along. and, if we create them we can change them!! ain't it great to be a liberal!!
 
A&E shot themselves in the foot by suspending him, dont they realize that most of their viewers share his views,not theirs? The show has a large fan base of Christians, and he just stood up for them, but the network is afraid to offend the minority. I cant change the beliefs of the gay community, but if they are going to live like that, they need to quit whining and realize people are going to be against them, if they dont like something thats said, ignore it. According to A&E he cant stand up for what he believes in, but the gay community can? sounds biased to me. Not to offend anyone but that community needs to stop being "but hurt" you might say,
 
Tolerance of homosexuality is good.

Tolerance of christianity is bad.

Jesus said the world would hate us because of Him. He was right.

It was a set up. This was going to happen. I would wager this was not the first time one of the cast was asked about controversial issues that exist when christianity and hollywood meet.

What they are trying to do is to scare any christian in the movie business to keep quiet or you will lose your job.

Lets see how the rest of the crew react.

apparently they dont care about their bottom line considering how many people who like the show have the same beliefs as Phil does, they just killed one of the most popular shows on TV
 
I pray that the rest of the family will refuse to work and give up the money and fame to stand with their relative and God's word. What an incredible opportunity for them to further the Gospel as Phil has done.

The problem is with sponsors. Advertisers will all drop out rather than be associated with anything the slightest bit controversial. And canning Phil for a while just gets A&E a few million dollars worth of free publicity. It's all about the money.

I agree with Crossnote - I doubt that A&E has ANY convictions of ANY kind, either good or bad.
I'm sure they worship nothing but money.

they are probably stuck under contract, the family already makes a fortune off of the duck commander brand, thats their brand, duck dynasty is A&E brand, avoid the duck dynasty stuff and buy the duck commander brand. The family already donates the money they get from the show, they dont need one bit of it personally

very often celebrities get themselves into mischief on purpose,
just for the publicity.

Reality shows have NEVER been real.

In the media, nothing is quite what it seems.
That's why reality shows put out casting calls to ACTORS.
Cough.

It's all smoke and mirrors... that's why people have managers, and agents, and marketing companies, and advertising experts, and public relations experts, and focus groups, and wardrobe experts, and set designers, and writers, and editors, and post production... and on and on.

We have no idea why Phil did anything, or what A&E really thinks.
All we know is they're getting a lot of free publicity.
Maybe they needed a ratings boost for the holidays.
Who knows.

The best thing to do is just ignore them.

the guys on the duck dynasty shows are very much real, look online for phils response to all of this, and how he used to be wild before finding Jesus, He says the main purpose of them even being on the show was to help spread the gospel any way they can, he stands behind his beliefs look up some of the real life stories the family has gone through

Having a response, and having stories online, doesn't make you either real or not real.
It just means you said some stuff.

All I'm saying is we don't REALLY now Phil, and we certainly can't trust the network he's on...
so we don't REALLY know anything.

When a lot of money is at stake, people all do very strange things.
We don't REALLY know these people, or what they're REALLY like, or what they're REALLY thinking.
Sorry.

Maybe Phil is a great guy, maybe he's not...
but it's naive to think we can hear an interview, or a couple background stories,
and assume that's enough to really know people.
Really.

There was a time in America when the media supported and respected free speech...whether the topic was good or bad. People had a right to reply to a question or comment about something. Now, people are interviewed and the reporter or magazine seems to be surprised that the interviewee does not or will not change their stance on an issue.

But, that was in a different America...back before 2008 that is...
