Be my guest…. Ive already been through it a few years ago

look at what hearing what Jesus and his apostles actually said does to you guys lol

“Are you able to explain what Paul is actually talking about here?”

Paul is explaining it I don’t need to change anything it says exactly what it means same thing here

Why do we get baptized Paul ?

Do you think you are actually going to get away with trying to avoid the fact you actually do not know what Paul meant by
curcumcision of the heart?

Are you able to explain what Paul is actually talking about here?

Specifically, what is the circumcision made without hands? What is being circumcised?

Hint: It's not baptism

So, can you are can you not explain what Paul means? If you cannot, you won't and it will make it obvious you are just copy/pasting scripture to take up space

Be your guest for what? 😜 just observing that you have no comprehension other than to bully and snark at folks

About the questions I asked regarding the scripture you posted? Gonna be crickets or what?

“Do you think you are actually going to get away with trying to avoid the fact you actually do not know what Paul meant by
curcumcision of the heart?“

lol well I’m not trying to “ get away with anything “ I just happened to wuote oauo tewchingbus what baptism means and you have gotten your underwear twisted about it but that’s what that doctrine does everytime .

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:

that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It doesn’t take a genius to read and accept what Paul’s saying does it ? Naw … it takes a real genius to explain why he’s not really talking about baptism.

Same thing Paul’s talking about in Colossians 2

buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s not something I need to explain Paul is explaining what baptism means . You pretending he’s not …. doesn’t change anything at all. Anyone can read it and believe or reject it

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It takes a lot of pride to continually reject Gods word

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:

Avoidance.

This is the actual op:

Ephesians 2 is not preaching faith alone.

What are you even talking about? Do you understand what faith means and how it applies to salvation?

Further, you do not seem able to explain what circumcision of the hearts is, so why did you post scritpure about it?

Caution: this person posts alot of scripture but does not seem able to explain it or explain why his post do not apply to the op

It takes a lot of pride to continually reject Gods word

Non sequitur aka irrelevant conclusion applied to avoid answering uncomfortable questions

Simple: Telling people to look somewhere else to draw attention off yourself. In this case, the inability to answer what scripture that has been posted by the person means.

Also, I do not agree with your belief concerning what the bible says about salvation. And the reason I do not agree with you is because scripture reveals everyone living in the NT must believe in Jesus, repent, and be water baptized in the name of Jesus in order for their sins to be remitted, and be indwelt by the Holy Ghost as well. It is at this point that a person becomes born again; the foundation is laid.

So? You don't agree. So?

If you will recall Jesus told His disciples to wait to be endued with power before going out into the world and sharing the gospel. This is because, as Jesus explained, building without having first laid a foundation leads to ultimate destruction. (Matt. 7:21-27, Luke 10:46-49, Heb. 6:1-2)

That is correct but we no longer have to wait in the upper room or a local hotel for the Holy Spirit. The foundation has been laid, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and are now made righteous by Christ. I am sorry you seem to have misunderstood that Jesus has
completed salvation on our behalf and while we should be baptized, not all speak in tongues and speaking in tongues IS NOT a prerequisite for salvation. It just isn't.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;

but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Circumcision of the heart. What does that mean? You posted the scripture and now kindly tell us all what that means.

What does baptism have to do with the actual op? Can you tell us? What is faith alone? Can you please give evidence you understand these terms?

It’s about what it says . The “ circumcision of Christ “ is to be baptized in his name for remission of sins .

“in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

airs the same exact point he’s making in Roman’s 6 it’s like you aren’t reading , actually I’m pretty sure you aren’t reading my replies he’s saying in Colossians there the same thing he’s teaching in Roman’s here it’s about God removing our sins through the death , burial and resurrection of Christ …..

the “ circumcision of Christ is talking about “ the removal of the sins “ or remission of sins in Christ Jesus . That’s what baptism is about , baptism in his name is the circumcision of Christ . Being buried by faith with him who died for our sins and rose up again we believe and then act upon that faith

but I honestly don’t think you want to know what this says because of what it’s saying

“God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:2-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield
ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:

but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead,
and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey;

whether of sin unto death
,

or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin,

ye became the servants of righteousness.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:11-18‬

There’s so much good teaching in Paul’s words about baptism but sometimes we don’t like what we hear in scripture

i don’t think you have any interest in studying what Paul was explaining in his letters about subjects like baptism at this point though .and I’m way too old to waste time

“What does baptism have to do with the actual op?”

It’s been part of the discussion since I entered and I’m assuming it’s part of the discussion because it’s an action and decision we need to make based on our belief .

My point is vastly that faith isn’t the reason we don’t need to act it’s what empowers us to act in his Will
Im sorry you can’t make the connection with the op

“is used by many Christians to preach a gospel of salvation and justification by faith alone without works”……

but that’s irrelevant to me whether you do or not

It’s about what it says . The “ circumcision of Christ “ is to be baptized in his name for remission of sins .

You are like a flea on a dog's back. Along for the ride but no control over the direction.

Are you that obtuse or still trying to avoid the question that was related to the scripture that YOU posted?

…..Faith isn’t the reason you don’t need to do what god said anymore . is what you’re missing. And yeah scripture kinda just does actually say what it says. Like this another example

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;”

What is the circumcision made without hands? What is circumcism of the heart, as that is what Paul is talking about here

You have not answered. You continue to post more unrelated scripture. Unrelated to the question, which is reasonable to ask since you posted the scripture. AND unrealted to the op since the op is about faith as it relates to salvation.

Do you have any idea? Obfuscation aside, you have given no response that indicates you have a clue.

Okay so not to beat a dead horse here but somehow I'm not even sure who I'm debating anymore so my position is that salvation does not require baptism although communion and baptism are commanded of the believer. Failing to do so does not negate salvation.

And for the sub detail salvation is a response to the spirits nudging meaning that I am responding to the spirit which God through his grace is allowing me the decision. This is all the work of Christ I am simply responding.

Whether this is an altar call or at the point of just having a personal Bible reading or perhaps friends sharing the truth one way or the other the spirit nudges and I respond with essentially I believe that Jesus Is My Savior that I'm a sinner please forgive me of my sins and save me. At this point the spirit indwells me and I am saved if I were to drop dead I would be with Jesus

After this fact through discipleship I should be told to be baptized or perhaps I would discover this in the Bible myself.

The act of going through a baptism in Protestant Christianity does not save you it is a display of what has happened already on the inside. Nor does this in part any further spiritual things as the Holy Spirit has already been given at the point of salvation.

If you are not agreeing with this Protestant Christianity view feel free to let me know who you are so that I don't get confused and who I'm responding to somehow I think I got my wires crossed in the middle of all this
Can I ask you a legitimate question ? I’ll keep it short and to the point

what do you do with the doctrine like this ?

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:1, 5-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Is your position that whether we receive eternal life from God or wrath and anger ….. we’re saved either way ? Or that Paul dodkt really teach this in several epistles ? Or that we don’t need to believe the Bible ? It’s hard to understand your explanation and also read the Bible

you are really exposing a lot about the “modern grace doctrine when it sees what’s written in Paul’s epistles or Jesus word ….. good luck with the alternative

So? You don't agree. So?

Yes. It's true I do agree.

And if you will notice Jesus stated in Luke 6:48 that the wise man lays a foundation upon the rock. And Hebrews 6:1-2 lists the foundational components of which He speaks. They parallel the commands that all must believe and obey. as presented by Peter, Philip, Ananias, Paul, as well as others.

Lastly, you are wrong about our not needing to wait as the apostles did in order to be endued with power. Jesus told the apostles to teach others to observe all things whatsoever He had commanded them:

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matt. 28:18-20

Also, food for thought. I'm not sure if you've ever noticed but 100% of the individuals who received the Holy Ghost spoke in tongues in the conversion accounts that detail everything Peter presented at Pentecost.
