Is it possible for a Christian to lose his salvation? Under what conditions, if any, can one's salvation be forfeited? Millions of Christians live their lives as close to these questions as they can, gambling on the goodness and mercy of God to save them, continually, in their sin rather than from it. Millions more spend their faith on works attempting to offer a better sacrifice, but in reality bypass the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Bible (Clearly) teaches eternal security, as (Clearly) seen below.

John 10:27-30KJV
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.

Okay.. how many times has this been thrashed over in this forum?

Why start another thread on this?

Are you concerned that too many Christian's aren't walking the walk?
Then address that.. rather than attacking the security people have in Jesus Christ!

Amen....Satan designed a losable salvation and his minions peddle it....

God on the other hand....

a. I will never leave thee or forsake thee.

b. The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. Salvation is one such gift

c. We are kept by the power of God through faith. (The faith found in d)

d. Jesus begins, finishes and completes the work of faith in us.

e. I give them eternal/everlasting life. NOT TEMPORAL BASED UPON PREFORMANCE

f. I will lose nothing, but raise it up the last day.

g. In the Father's hand, Son's hand and SEALED UNTO THE DAY of Redemption

h. Passed from DEATH unto LIFE

i. These things written that you may KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

j. NO CONDEMNATION for those in CHRIST

k. JUSTIFIED ETERNALLY

l. Sanctified eternally and positionally in Christ

m. Our life is HIDDEN IN CHRIST

n. Our Spirit is born again from above by INCORRUPTIBLE SEED and does NOT SIN.

o. SAVED to the UTTERMOST

p. GOD WHIPS his children, he does not cast them away

q. The prodigal was a SON throughout the whole process and very mych alive and only perceived as dead and still RECEIVED

r. And on and on and on and on.

There are no scriptures in context that teach a losable salvation and or a salvation that must be kept by man, maintained by man or finished by man.

It is poppycock, false, contrary to peddle a losable salvation!

They are not bypassing the finish work of the Lord Jesus Christ but rather have the faith to be able to rely on it.

It can be a good reminder. . . beware of lukewarm. Like the foolish Galatians. Plenty of work to do.

“10 Wherefore the rather, Brethren, give diligence to make your Calling and Election sure (this is what Jesus was speaking of when He told us to deny ourselves and take up the Cross daily and follow Him [Lk. 9:23]; every day, the Believer must make certain His Faith is anchored in the Cross and the Cross alone; only then can we realize the tremendous benefits afforded by the Sacrifice of Christ): for if you do these things, you shall never fall (presents the key to Eternal Security, but with the Promise being conditional):

11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the Everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (The entrance into the Kingdom is solely on the basis of Faith evidenced in Christ and the Cross [Eph. 2:13-18; Jn. 3:16].)” 2 Peter 1:10-11

If you want to understand how salvation is not OSAS, you will need to study the Tribulation epistles, Hebrews to Revelations.

Once Saved Always Saved.

Is a deception.

Period.
The believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit, unto the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:30KJV
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

The Holy Bible (Clearly) teaches eternal security, as (Clearly) seen below.

John 10:27-30KJV

Oh yeah?!

What do you make of this:

Colossians 1:21-23 KJV
[21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled [22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: [23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel...

RECONCILED IF YOU CONTINUE!

All the promises you quote are completely secure and true for the believer in Christ Jesus.
But for the unbeliever they do not have these promises.

Romans 11:20-22
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off

God is a person. Just think how he would feel about someone who stopped being good and started being wicked. There are a few ifs in the chapter. Like verse 22 "if thou continue in his goodness"

^ Be careful to read Romans 11:20-22 in its overall context [chpts 9-11], rather than extracted out from it.

Here's an excerpt of a post I made in the past...

Consider:

[quoting G.V. Wigram]

"Gen. 27:29 [Isaac blessing Jacob]. Let peoples (gamnzim, pl.), serve thee and [manners or sorts of ] nations (l'ummim, pl.) bow down to thee: be lord [a mighty man] over thy brethren.

"Observe, this would not run the source of the division of people back to Shem, Ham and Japhet, so as to make the word to be equivalent to what we call the races of people, in connection with the Noahic earth, who constitute the whole human family. The subdivision here alluded to took place in the family of Isaac, type of the heir of promise, not earlier; and the heads of this subdivision are brought before us in Rom. 9 All God's ways and subdivisions are to be noted."

[also]

"f Israel is the goh'y of experience, promise, blessing on the earth; the center of all God's governmental ways on earth; but in saying that, I look at them from outside and as one whole. When they are owned as gammi, my people, their detailed state and associations within is the aspect in which they are considered."

____________

[quoting that other article by G.V. Wigram]

"[re: Romans 11] In Jesus Christ, if the question be about Christian position, eternal life, or the Church considered in her essential relationship to Christ, there was neither Jew nor Gentile; the thoughts found in this chapter [Romans 11] can THERE have no place. If the question be about the cutting off of an individual for sinful conduct, little matters it whether he be Jew or Gentile; that has nothing to do with it, and on the other hand, there would be no question about grafting in again of the Jews more than of any others, and neither Jews nor others could be grafted in, if God had cut them off in such a manner. And if it were a question about a warning from the Apostle to Christians at Rome, and so to others elsewhere, as being brethren, it would be almost nonsense to say, " And thou, O Gentile, take heed!" Why, thou, O Gentile? Had not Christians, Jews by birth, as much need to take heed? Or could the Spirit of God, in such a warning, have made the distinction, and thus denied the principle of, the Church of God in which there is neither Jew nor Gentile? If the question is about a divine administration upon earth, then God can well make the distinction and develop his ways towards the one and the other; and it is plain that from the commencement of the ninth chapter the Apostle is occupied with and pointedly contrasts the Jews and the Gentiles, presenting us with the administration of the divine ways upon the earth. First declaring his attachment to Israel, he points out an election in the election for the earth, and further, that if God according to his sovereignty had chosen Israel (and such was Israel's boast), He had not renounced His sovereignty; and consequently, He could call the Gentiles if he would. Then he recalls to mind that the prophets had shown that a little remnant only, of Israel, at such an epoch, would be saved, and that a stone of stumbling would be laid in Zion."

Nothing is able to separate us from Jesus, God is more powerful then any force. Salvation by faith is always there ready to completely save us because of Jesus, but there are conditions that we are asked to meet. We are free to choose, if i don't want to be saved i can choose to separate myself from Jesus and die without salvation. If i want to be saved when i'm 14 years old does that mean i am forced to be saved no matter what i want latter in life. Will God force me against my will to be in heaven? Lucifer was perfect and free to choose, he was safe in God, with life eternal, he was loved by God and very close to God. But God allowed Lucifer to choose, he was a free moral agent.
Jesus said
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Some people will not endure because of the sin or iniquity that will abound. this is telling me i will need to continue in Jesus all the way, not just for a day or a week but until the end. Those that don't endure and wax cold because of the iniquity shall not be saved.
We are not forced to be saved or forced to remain saved. We all have a choice.
Jos 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
Jos 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Paul was walking in the Spirit, but he even needed to bring his body into subjection so he wasn't a castaway.
1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Heb 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Heb 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Heb 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

If there was no condition that we can draw back or not remain steadfast why would this warning be given?
Rom 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

If, "If thou continue" in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
We can be cut off. the osas teachings are working for the devil. The devil has one goal and that is to separate as many people from Jesus as He can. Jesus tells us to endure and remain faithful, OSAS tells me not to worry once im a child i can't be lost. The devil is a lair and false security is his specialty.

2 Pet 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Peter is talking to the converted.
2Pe 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Pe 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; .....
2Pe 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

We can be secure in Jesus and know that the life He gives is greater then death, we can be sure that Jesus will continue to do all to save us, but we have the final choice.

There is no verse that says once saved always saved. There is no verse you can lose your salvation.

Now where most fail is they make a statement as if its fact/true but what they are really doing is lying.

"What I personally believe is" or "don't believe me you seek you study you pray you find this out for your self"

For me to say you can never lose your salvation and then give some verse that does not say that in any way .. for me I would be lying.

Now case in point is "Eternal Security - Most dangerous words ever preached: Once saved, always saved". Fact and truth become how and what someone personally believes about salvation.

Sharing how you personally believe.. praise GOD thank you. But your personal belief is not HIS word. We are held to what HE said what HE wrote not what I say. BUT that being said.. to lead someone HIS down the wrong path... the world can read all this. Do you think about those that are weak in the faith already thinking being lied to by the enemy.. do you think what you say how it effect them?

No matter how we answer.. He WILL hold us accountable. Know this... its far better to learn repent NOW... there is no slap on the hand up there. Saved yes.. think about others.. its ALWAYS about others never self. Live in the moment right now. Have faith NOW. Your saved because HE found YOU.. you did not nothing you have nothing to do with this. So we need to stop taking HIS glory.

Doing good not sinning.. DUH we all should do this.. its should be in us to want that. But your salvation? HE did it all not you. You never will. Just bow down thank Him give HIM all the praise and glory. He NEVER uses fear worry doubt or confusion or speculation. Always peace which is written. So.. live in the moment He gave you.. and THINK of those that read anywhere you post.. what if it was YOU..

Christians who consider their faith as something that can't be lost think their salvation is eternal reality. Death is eternal reality, salvation is not. If it were there would be no reason for Hope. Death is a fact. No one needs to hope they will die someday. If salvation were a fact of human life on earth like death is then we could say we have eternal security. We can have a sure hope at best.

"Lose it" accidently? no. Wilfully, knowingly, walk away from it? Yes. Otherwise there is no such thing as free will.
