Where does it say that a person is condemned if they at one time had faith, then stopped believing?

John 3 says he who does not believe is condemned already.. It does not say one who believed, then stopped believing becomes condemned again.

I know theology REALLY WELL.

Problem is, some don't want to know theology, the study of God.

They want to know something that was taught 1,500 years after Christianity was created by our LORD and SAVIOR, Jesus.
I've said many times that all those theologians that came before Calvin must have been really dumb not to see OSAS in the New Testament.

Jesus is our LORD and Savior. I wonder if people know what this means??

If He is NOT OUR LORD, He cannot be our SAVIOR.
Seems simple, doesn't it.

Well, to you and I it is, but some refuse it.
I have to trust God's goodness and mercy to save us based on our heart and not on our doctrine.
But this does frighten me a little, how some twist words around to suit their own beliefs.

Amen...scriptures bear this truth out.

True biblical belief is of the heart - not in the head or mind. God looks on the heart - man look on the outward appearance.

Getting "saved" is simple.

Romans 10:9-10 (NASB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

[SUP]10 [/SUP] for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

The process is simple too.

1) we hear the message of Christ - the gospel of our salvation in Him

2) we believe the message from our hearts

3) we were sealed with the Holy Spirit ( Jesus said in John 14:16 that the Holy Spirit will be with us and in us forever - now was Jesus lying or is he like a "bait and switch" car salesman that has "fine print" which He doesn't talk about )

Ephesians 1:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, = 1) the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, = 2) you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, = 3)

you were sealed = aorist indicative tense / passive voice = a one time event in the past.

Passive voice = the sealing was not done by us but by an outside force - the Holy Spirit Himself.

He died for us while we were enemies. Yet as His children He Won't keep us safe? The logical conclusion is it is safer to stay an enemy.

37But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 6:4-6 - Says if a person could fall (lose salvation) which they can not in my opinion. they can not be resaved, period, it is not a passage about losing salvation, it is a passage dealing wiht returning to law. where salvation can be lost. It is an argument against that. If you can lose salvation. No law will save you again.


2 Peter 2:20-22 - Says a person who has recieved the word of truth, It never said they had faiht in it, or were saved, if they walk away, it will be worse for them. AMEN to that, Imagine having the word which could have saved you and you walked away from it.


Mathew 12:31-32 - Unpardonable sin, Which these men has just commited, (they attributed the work of the HS to satan) Jesus said they were in danger, even though the comited the sin, It means if we do not repent from our state of unbelief we will have no hope. but be condemned, Because all sin will be forgiven but one.


Mathew 19:28 - Sit on thrones? What do you mean?

Mathew 13:20-21 - Again, rcieved the word. But has no root (christ) that is why they walked away.. If you do not have christ as your root. you are not saved. So again, What is your point, this does not say a person lost salvation it says they never had it (no root)

So again, Where does it say a person can have faith, Be born again by God, given eternal life, The seal of the spirit. Justified sanctified, perfected, Adoped. Redeemed (I can go on and on) and lose all of those things?

Now I am even more confused.

You preach that salvation can be lost (meaning it must be maintained by some deed of your own) then ask me why I ask you why you are trying to save yourself?

do you even understand?

Indeed sister, it's not that all complicated as some seem to think, a person can be the greatest theologian on the planet yet know nothing.

Sorry but your understanding places responsibility for salvation on you and not wholly on Christ. You do not understand the Lordship of Christ confusing it with earthly understanding when Holy Spirit understanding is required.

Lordship includes the biblical fact that we are the Lords and not ourselves.

1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Working to keep salvation is the same as working to obtain salvation. Either is mixing works with grace which is not the way God has chosen to save those who call upon Him.

We work not to be saved or to keep saved but because we are saved and now know and love Jesus.

Thats right. We have eternal life, because we have the One in whom is eternal life, Jesus Christ. Who has promised to never leave us or forsake us.

Refuse what? To look at history OUTSIDE THE WORD OF GOD? You bet you, I do not trust that history, I only trust God and his word..

Catholics are the ones who use that excuse Of course they should they controlled history for those 1500 years you keep talking about.

The bible is what matters, the bible teaches eternal security, it does not matter what some so called theologian 1500 years ago said. What matters is what God said,
