Yes I have wondered at the language. But people are saying they are going to heaven, in the sense they are not currently in heaven so it is elsewhere.

The pictures given are hints, a new heaven and earth, a city without a place, God dwelling with man.
If you are going to be with God, put simply you will be shown, put in the place.
If not you will be put somewhere else. There is no mention of choice or ambling about and getting lost, so I think the actual location will be irrelevant.

Still stuck on visual. I loved Mom and she loved me. To this day, (and she died in 1972), when I think of her, it is love. It's also a look she had in her eyes. I wasn't supposed to see her anymore at the end. (Her order sent out through Gram.) I did anyway. Her eyes were filled with surprise, attitude, (why did you come?), gratitude, and a softness that can only be love. A year before, she was 5'6" and 165 pounds. That night she was 65 pounds, and I could see the cancer all over her. The only thing that didn't change were her eyes. I see love in eyes. I can see those same eyes saying the same thing as she picked me up when I had a booboo, when she saw me turning the corner while she drank her huge cup of coffee, and when she talked to others she loved. It looks like that protective hug. All's right with the world.
