FACTS CHANGE BUT GOD’S WORD REMAINS[/h]
Consider the cold, hard facts that these three people faced: The aunt of a lady in our church saw her X-ray which showed that one of her two kidneys was cancerous. A couple in our church read their medical reports which said that they would never be able to produce a child. A lady in our church who acted as a guarantor ended up being asked by the finance company to pay it S$34.

When such situations hit us and we allow the facts to settle in our hearts, we end up feeling greatly troubled. But when we let the truths of God’s Word settle them all, we will sense the Holy Spirit bearing witness to the truths that we are believing. He is the Spirit of truth. (John 16:13) He is not the Spirit of facts and does not bear witness to facts.

It may be a fact that you are sick. The doctors say that you are sick. The X-ray film shows that you are sick. But God’s Word says that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed! (Isaiah 53:5) That is the truth about your situation. What is the difference between fact and truth? Facts change, but truth —God’s Word—remains!

When God’s people choose to defy the facts and walk instead in His truths regarding their situations, the Holy Spirit in them will bear witness to the truths that they are believing.

The lady with the cancerous kidney underwent an operation to remove the organ. But praise God, she received supernatural restoration as later X-rays showed two healthy kidneys instead of one! God had formed a new kidney for her!

The childless couple received their miracle bundle of joy after seven years. Today, they are proud parents of not one, but four children!

The church member with the S$3 debt told the finance company that it was not being fair to her and that God would protect her. The company’s management miraculously decided to cancel her debt!

The next time you are hit by disturbing facts, let God’s Word settle the truth about your situation. And as the Holy Spirit bears witness to the truths that you are believing, the facts will change and you will receive your miracle!

A quick question: is S$3 three Singapore dollars? I'm not familiar with that notation.

Each day I need to be reminded of the truth in God's Word. When I read it and hear it. When I talk to other Christians or read about other Christians who have been through the battles and testify to the saving power of Jesus. These kinds of battles are the kind I've been through and they tell about the miracle working Jesus in the Bible and in our daily lives.

I'm so encouraged to believe again for above and beyond this world's and my own limitations. Even though such miracles have occurred in my own life., time dulls the memory. It's frustrating how short our memories are. It's frustrating to be a creature of time. Yet I know God understands our frame., that we are in bodies made up of dust. That we have this "treasure" in earthen vessels.

Even as I post this JP devotional I know many here who don't believe such miracles happen to us believers. And yet I know based on His Word they do., and they have happened to me and continue to happen to me and other believers. But it's shocking that when I come here on CC many will say this is heretical this is word of faith., this is false.

But I know God's Word is true and the promises Jesus made are true. And the Holy Spirit witnessing to my spirit is true. That grace through faith in the sufficiency of Jesus makes our salvation sure and the promises bought and paid for. And that each day I'm looking for those miracles and find them in Christ. Not because I deserve them but because Jesus has the final word on all matters concerning me.

If I don't believe Him for my life and security while here on this uncertain planet., I'm then left to take care of myself. But the Bible says to have faith in Jesus TODAY to get through. Let Jesus take care of all matters concerning us. When I get to heaven., there will be no need for the faith to see. But now the need to walk by faith and not by sight is REAL and Jesus is a PRESENT help in time of need.

Often times we say Jesus was here on earth "back then in time" and helped those who were with Him.....or we say "Jesus is in heaven and some day we will be with Him". But the Bible says Jesus is a VERY present help in time of need. Psalm 46:1-5

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change,
And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains tremble with the [SUP][a][/SUP]swelling thereof. Selah

[SUP]4 [/SUP]There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:
God will help her, [SUP][b][/SUP]and that right early.

How do I get help?

Here are three lies that will stop you finding God’s help today:

  1. I don’t need help (I can help myself)
  2. I can’t get help (I’m helpless)
  3. God won’t help (I’m hopeless)

The gospel truth is that God promises to meet all your needs (see Matt 6:25, Php 4:19). Believe it! Come boldly to his throne of grace knowing that your heavenly Father loves to help.

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you. (Deu 33:26)

Who get’s helped? Answer: Those who ask for help. So ask. Don’t be like Adam who looked to his own flesh for help. See the God who rides across the heavens to help you. Bring your needs to him.

Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. (Ps 63:7)

"All that live godly shall suffer persecution."
Hi Joanie, will have to check out Joseph Prince, the persecution he gets must be good advertising.
Nothing shall separate us from the Love of God: neither death nor life nor any power.
Trouble is we don't know God in our understanding: "Lean not on your own understanding but trust in the Lord.
Nothing shall harm you if you believe: dying does not harm us, neither does anything we experience in this life."
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that Love the Lord."
I struggle with depression, works for good to seek the Lord for Grace, we always have God's influence as we believe.

Hi Stillness., Amen., nothing can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus! YAHOO. Even our own feelings and struggles in life. And the Holy Spirit gently brings us to where we need to be in order to see the truth. It's the love of God that constrains and motivates us. 2 Cor.5:14-18 Blessings Brother!!

[SUP]14 [/SUP]For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died;
[SUP]
15 [/SUP]And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]Consequently, from now on we estimate and regard no one from a [purely] human point of view [in terms of natural standards of value]. [No] even though we once did estimate Christ from a human viewpoint and as a man, yet now [we have such knowledge of Him that] we know Him no longer [in terms of the flesh].
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
[SUP]
18 [/SUP]But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
Psalm 119:105

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
Psalm 40:3-4

Grace and peace be yours in abundance
