The truth is, we are in the final generation that will see the return of Christ. Over the last 60 years, you have seen people turn away from God and from studying the bible and it is no longer taught in our schools. As a result our culture has deteriorated and evil is allowed to flourish. What is right is called wrong and what is wrong is regarded as right. I know it's tough to see it all go down but understand, we are the children of the Living God. He expects us to make a stand against the evil and speak out against it even though we may suffer persecution for doing so. In the not so distant future, Satan himself will appear on earth, before Jesus returns, claiming to be God, II Thes 2:1-4, and will deceive many people into worshipping him, thus causing a great falling away from worshipping the true God. I would encourage you to study the word of God to understand what is getting ready to happen. God may have you on earth to make a stand against Satan when he comes pretending to be God. Don't ever give up on life or your faith. Just decide to have a positive attitude towards life, work hard at your job and God will help make your life a success. Even with all the calamity going on around us ,know that God is our protector and will deliver us from the evil.

Amen. I don't know if it will be this generation but it will be sooner than later. Jesus said:
"Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." Revelation 22:7

There are dominionists who teach we may still have tens of thousands of year, possibly more, before the people of God have transformed the world into God's kingdom, making it possible for the Lord to return. I've always wondered what Jesus meant by "quickly"; now it seems more clear to me He meant it won't be tens of thousands of years but, relatively speaking, quickly.
I've been telling people for the past 5 years who say they wished they lived in Bible times and were a part of the stories they read...YOU ARE IN THERE!!

We must look at the bigger picture beyond the scope of America. There are parts of the globe where people are on fire for Jesus Christ. The Gospel is being shared with fervent enthusiasm and is taking hold with divine power in many third world countries. It’s like seeing the last becoming first. Christ will obviously return one glorious day, but America’s spiritual collapse will not hasten His return.
I wonder whether the next generation of Christians will have the integrity to call out this generation of failed and false prophets. This generation doesn’t have the integrity to call out the last crop, and instead repeat their errors.

in the sixties or early seventies there was a small group or
“Movement “ that calculated the end times and so eventually thier prophecy was nearing and they all sold thier houses and quit thier jobs in preparation , they bought rvs and went to live in the desert away from the sudden destruction coming at a certain date or certain timeframe
they stayed in a commune type \ “wagon train “situation ( not sure that reference is up to date )
they all believed it based on someone teaching them what scripture “really
Means “ and they were convinced they were following a right message interpreted by this prophet or teacher or whatever he was to them
but about three years after this they started returning from the desert having exhausted all tbier money and possession on “surviving “ until the rapture that was gonna deliver them who “ came out of her my children me dwelt in the deserts “

then they had really scarred faith and trust and some thought the scripture had led them there , they began I guess , I hope anyways to rebuild thier lives but the point is
Jesus could return tomorrow , it’s always been this way but because that’s actually true . he could be ten thousand years from coming or it could be today so we should take his word seriously and apply ourselves to him
I hope He waits til after Christmas. It would be too confusing for Him to be coming and going at the same time.

How can Jesus return tomorrow, when Jerusalem has not been surrounded yet, the two witnesses have not witnessed in Jerusalem yet, the trumpets vials and seals have not been opened yet and many other things that need to happen?
I dont think Jesus meant He can return 20 minutes from giving the great commission, even though He said he comes like a thief in the night and be always ready etc. Has to be read in context

Israel is surrounded on every side they have been encicled for awhile now . Look atte alliances forming over thirty years till today Iran, Russia, north Korea , china, Syria, and that's not all look specifically at all the Muslim nations around Israel that support the palestinians . Look at jerusalem where a Muslim mosque sits on the temple mound dedicated to Muhammed , where Jews , christians and muslims all divide and contend for the city who's temple is but to a foreign god to Israel who's had his foreign mosque on the temple mount for ages now
but it's always been that way it's a perpetual state until he returns based on his time
That's my own opinion , the apostles also believed it was the end that Christ was right at the door like the bible says I'm right at the door be ready I am coming soon . it's part of what makes us not be complacent because I could die tomorrow and it's too late then to realize my time is short

Your right. The fig tree generation that shall not pass away until all is fulfilled is now 78 yrs old. Be a watchman for the time of Satan's appearance is nearing.
