nway,...well yes ur rite,...no movies on the first date coz we cnt talk,....dinner is good actually,...coz we can talk while eating,...some girls dnt like dinner mayb coz they dont hold good conversations, but to me dinner is good.....then walking while holding hands,....i love the touch,...and rob,...talk ...if u dont have anything to say, ask ur date questions,...ive gone out with some guys who r shy and dont talk much,...and its like FREAKINGLY BORING!!! i dont even wanna go out EVER!!! but they r hot tho......nways, yeah,...is this good enuff for ya? and pls i hate snookers or bowling arghhhh!!! Seriously vendettark you should ask them whether it is really the dinner which they find boring or if it's their way of saying that you are boring , because unless they are anorexic pencil thin stick insects - who doesn't like a good meal that they don't have to pay for?

I would be scarred for life if that happened to me.
If you don't really know much about the person like whether you'll hit it off or not I would say plan something that is either pretty short with the possibility to drag it out like coffee for example or something active were you could always fall back the activity for conversation, putt putt maybe or if you can get her to play paint ball that sounds like fun. Just don't lose to her, then we will have to take your man card from you.

Actually... you will probably end up marrying the girl that turns out to be smarter than you. When you are really smart, that usually means there aren't a whole lot of girls that can claim that. It might be a sign! haha

I don't see why movies are necessarily a bad first date. Obviously most people (mainly the guys) would be very nervous, and if you do the movie first THEN a nice dinner (NOT at a fast food outlet!) then you have something to break the ice and talk about aside from yourselves. When my husband and I go to watch a movie we do this, and we love discussing what thoughts we got from the movie and how we would apply it biblically or our general opinion because its fun.
By all means, do talk about yourself esp your testimony (so long as its not drawn out and going on and on..), your faith, how Jesus has impacted your life, your family, your values etc..
I don't see how a reasonable Christian woman could turn down such a nice normal date. The expectations of the date should focus entirely on the person in question not what you necessarily do on the date, though of course there should be hygiene standards. So if the guy loves Jesus, is intelligent, has a job and doesn't still sleep under star wars sheets in his moms basement but maybe took you on a poor date... Give him another chance, or better yet plan the next date yourself.

But with a movie... there is so little chat, so little communication... it all about just being together, great for couples. I suppose if you do dinner or something after could be alright. Hmm.

I dont see why movies are bad because it can open up the door for conversation after the movie. I dont think anyone mentioned sports events. Girls like sports too. The worst first date ideas I was offered was going to watch a guy play bowling on his team and another guy wanted me to watch him play gulf. I did not go out with ether of them.
