I was joking, I myself am fat (but I am actually taking percription steroids for my thyroid). Speaking of fat, you need to remove that Rush Limbaugh from your signiture. He's the most successful professional troll of the radio world (not to mention a drug addict who had multiple affairs). When Bill O'reilly calls you "an entertainer for simple folks" you know this clown appeals to the bottom feeders of society. Ronnie on the other hand, one of my heros.

Yesterday was my inbody analysis day. I was taking my analysis after nearly 50 days. Over this period, I have gained 4lbs, but they were more of fat than muscle. Now my body fat percentage has gone up to 21%, which is not a healthy sign. My trainer has changed my workout and diet pattern now - more cardio and less calorie consumption. :(

Oh and I'll be happy to post the picture of my inbody analysis if anyone wants to know what an inbody analysis looks like. :)
I'd like to see it.

I can't believe you are 21% body fat. Your picture looks like you are closer to 8%. You must be hiding it in your feet or something.

How am I trolling? Rush Limbaugh himself admitted he used to send his maid out to obtain prescription opiates to feed his addiction, that why he's mostly deaf in his left ear now. He's been married at least four times, and used to work as a sportscaster on am radio where he realized the more people he pissed off the more money he could make. He's currently ranked 11th highest paid celebrity in the world (around $80million a year). But I digress because this is getting off topic.

Sorry, it's a little crumpled because I did not file it properly. My Body Fat Mass is beyond the optimum range, so my PBF is 21.9%. This is something I have to cut down.

That's incredibly interesting, Roh_Chris. 21.9 is within normal range for men and women I think...what's your goal? (I dream of getting to 18%, but I definitely need to put in a lot more work)

Also, those suggested activities....oriental fencing sounds like fun :D

For my body, the optimum range is 10.0 to 20.0, so I am on the higher side. My trainer wants me to target 15% or, if possible, even 12%. I'll be incorporating more cardio - running, arc training, etc. and cutting down on carbs.

I'm trying to get my body fat % down as well.

But I'm using a different strategy.

Building muscle and cutting down on the amount of fat grams, and total calories, I intake.

I don't have any machines to calculate my body fat %, just the mirror...

That's awesome! I have been gym-shirking for a couple of weeks. It's time to get back to the iron. I need some tough love. :/

You should get some full leather Samarai armor and start doing some fencing.

And learn some more Japanese besides "arigato", "bonzai", and "hai"...

i do HEMA -- like fencing, but with medieval longswords, and treated as a martial art, rather than a sport. can tell you that 15 minutes of sparring is a pretty intense workout!

At the risk of giving everyone a good laugh, I took this picture today while trying on clothes in a JCPenney store.

A few weeks ago, BruceWayne and Zeroturbulence gave us a slight hint of a gun show...

And I couldn't let the boys have all the fun. ;) I felt kind of stupid trying to flex, so I'm really just holding my arm up...

So if you'll all humor me just a little, I'll thank you in advance for your kind sympathies!!!

(I can say though that you're all keeping me much more motivated!!!)

LOL!!!!!

Zero, as always, you are too kind.

After all, I'm 42, not 22 (anymore)... and believe me, I can feel it when I get done with every workout.

However, I have to admit that when I read everyone's stories here, with all kinds of varying age ranges and fitness levels, it really pushes me to keep going!!

Have been working hard on abs (but no, I WON'T be posting any pictures of those!!), upping protein intake, and trying to cut carbs.

I love reading about everyone else's fitness journeys here and have picked up some good tips, too. Believe me, I'M the one who's not worthy!!! ;)

Actually, I'm the non-worthy one. I haven't worked out in 5 days and I gained 4 pounds instead of losing weight. I jogged 3 miles today though but then I pigged out at dinner. :/

Pfft Seoul, I can see some definition.

zero, 4 lbs in 5 days can't be all fat...you know what, you can't change yesterday, so don't beat yourself up over it. Refocus on today and long term. You CAN do it!
