Hooray daisy. Love the way they just pop up in lawns...hate it when people just mow over them. Leave the daisies alone! We need them for daisy chains.
Impatiens.,.also known as busy lizzies.Yes!! I love the sunny sunflowers too. Here we have many small tropical flowers as well, the fragrant white sampaguita (jasmine variety), the delicate camia, white ginger or butterfly lily, tamarind flowers also. The pretty Impatiens in various colors i like to propagate (which grow leggy when too hot though).

One lady I know always called them dizzy lizzies and we just didnt correct her. She was a former school teacher so I think she was certain thats what they are called. We gardeners would just nod and smile..it a cute name for them anyway.
One summer we planted up a huge roundabout in floral bedding with busy lizzies. We had to come up with a pattern so i suggested a huge heart of red impatiens and all the other colours around it. It stayed for months. They did get leggy even in the sun...but it was hard to rip them all out again.
Then one season they got some mould or disease and the nurseries stopped selling them. Otherise they are great for colour and they also spread easily. The red ones are the best..and then hot pink.
When you say thorns, I will hope it's not offtopic because we still talk about roses, I've always believed that thorns never existed in the garden of Eden and that this came with the fall of man. Thorns are like sin, they have a separation and animosity element in them, and murder because they draw blood. And it says "A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband" in Proverbs. So ponder this wicked, murderous, thorny crown of shame, that the mankind is. Yet He carried us on His head and endured all the shame to transform us into a bride, like Hosea endured all the shame and disgrace and mockery from his wife until she was transformed... Jesus is particularly good at gardening and getting rid of thorns
Yeah I'm not sure it's legit honey or not, but yeah it is some type of nectar lol.
I tried to get my 2 year old nephew to do it but he didn't want it near him for some reason.

We have a big problem with gorse in our country. Apparently it is used as a nice hedge in Britain, but when they grew it here it just ran rampant!
Another thing i dislike is prickles, I could never walk on grass barefoot if it had prickles in it. Now. I dont know why rose breeders bred such a rose called Flower Carpet...because they didnt breed the thorns out of the roses. What kind of carpet has thorns on it? Not any I walk on.
I think the rose wants to protect herself thats why she has thorns.
Other flowers yield themseleves up easily, but the rose takes more effort and maintenance to keep looking beautiful. However for some people it is totally worth all the trouble.

You have a very deep way about you, in many of your responses, I like that. A bit of a duel meaning in this one perhaps? Still talking about just flowers? Just an observation , deep thoughts and means are very good indeed.
Love roses and love the way carnations smell... Pansy's are so pretty and I also love violets and orchids. Believe it or not okra has a gorgeous blossom.
Something special about Iris, must admit.

Ya, but they're is some thing special about getting the right words from another too (never did a "10 page" term paper on them, but a page or two of well thought out words can also be nice).
Not really much for flowers but dandelion since you can eat them and they have health benefits...
In a pinch if you want to annoy someone when they get dry, they turn into those fluffy wish flower things and you could just blow fluffles off on them lol. Key word - "utility".
