Yes the ten commandments are Gods moral law and those who trust in him will keep those moral codes. But these moral codes will not save nor deliver nor set free. Not to mention that the commandments repeated in the NT do not include keeping sabbath. Oh you little ones when will you realise that Jesus is our sabbath.
How can you have rest without Jesus? We are slaves to sin bound and rolled up in it. We enjoyed our sin like a pig to slop. But when we heard the word and gave our heart to Jesus, we abhorred sin and didn't want to have anything to do with it. That is rest. Attending church on Sunday or Saturday won't do that. If you partied like the devil on Saturday night going to church on Sunday does nothing for you. You are just as bound as you was on Saturday night.
God will accept no work of the flesh. He will only accept the work of His Son the Lord Jesus Christ and those who have faith in His work. Get it through your thick skulls. Keeping law will do nothing for you.
Kerry, the majority of us around here who are keeping the Sabbath are already saved because of Jesus' life death and resurrection. And because He truly is our Sabbath from the bonds of sin and death, we are able to enjoy a physical Sabbath as well. It has nothing to do with salvation, at least for me.
So a peaceful Sabbath to you, sir, no matter what day or days, you may chose to celebrate it.
Blessings,
Matt
There's nothing wrong with blessing a group of people doing something unique to them. If you feel it's divisive and wrong to do so, please feel free to start a different thread about it.
In the meantime, this is about blessing people who honor the Sabbath. If you feel divided because of that, I'd be more than happy to start a thread blessing those who don't honorthe sabbath.
Thanks so much,
Matt

Hi Kerry. that is easy. Just check to see on which day the Roman Catholic Church gather for their services and the Sabbath will be the day before. The RCC changed the Sabbath keeping to Sunday keeping.IF were Chimese what day would be appropriate. What if I were Russian and I mean east Russia. Because Sunday in the USA is Monday in Chiner and Sunday in East Russia is Saturday in USA. I mean it's that important is it not. I'm not sure what day it is in Jerusalem. But, man we better get this right cause if we don't its hell fire for us. Never mind the cross its what we do that matters.
Sabbath given to us as a day to rest first observed by God in the first 7 days of creation, then as a command to keep the 7th day Holy. Strive to enter into rest today.
Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Because they did not strive....
Hi Matt, I cannot agree with you that any day is OK to celebrate the Sabbath. God was very specific and the Sabbath name was given to the first seventh day that existed, just after the six days of creation. This cycle has never changed and even now our calenders are drawn up in a seven day cycle. The closest people to Jesus Christ are the Jewish and because of their strong tradition, they have kept the Sabbath all over the years. When Jesus was on this earth, the Pharisees checked Jesus and His disciples to see what they were doing on a Sabbath and at one stage confronted Jesus about the picking of wheat on a Sabbath. As they, who are the closest to Jesus, still obey the Sabbath on the Saturday, that is from Friday sunset till Saturday sunset, we can accept that the Sabbath is on the Saturday and will be so forever. Jesus' death here was to free us from all sins and to abolish the man written law about circumcision, meat offerings etc. but did not abolish God's Law which is also the guideline to the Love to God and to your Neighbour. The Bible teaches us in many ways that the Commandments still need to be kept until Jesus comes again. If you need references, go and read what I have written about the Sabbath which I have done extensively. So a peaceful Sabbath to you, sir, no matter what day or days, you may chose to celebrate it.
Blessings,
Matt
Yes, actually unbelief if the only sin that will keep you from entering. That when you sin you can be forgiven when you repent. You can sin when you lust, kill, covet, not keep the Sabbath Holy well and many more things.
I'm not sure I understand you... if you lust that is sin, if you steal that is sin if you do not keep the sabbath Holy that is sin, if you covet your neighbors property that is sin. You do not agree that these are sin? Or because they are mentioned in OT that they are called law?
What do you call sin?
