God does not share in this nature, He cannot, He is righteous & holy.
That's why Jesus came in the flesh, so that he might share in the flesh. Not that he shared in our sin, but he shared in our flesh, so he had the same flesh as any man. From the sound of things, you're thinking along the lines of "immaculate conception" and "Theokotos" which has the tendency to render Jesus as a rather different man to the average man.

...did Jesus Christ have the ABILITY to sin?

No, because He did not have sin nature & He is God. He is not a created being, He is the Creator. The Word was made flesh, in that a body was prepared for Him. He had flesh nature, not sin nature. He had two natures, flesh & Spirit.

No....Jesus was created for a purpose and that was to free us so that we can come to the father. He got tempted because Jesus had to experience everything man experienced, though he was perfect. He knows what it feels like to be rejected, despised, and even raped. Not to mention he was God. God doesnt sin.

Jesus was not born without sin.
Wrong. :)

The Bible clearly states that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit of God. That mean Jesus is holy by definition of "Divine;" therefore, sin cannot exist within a Sovereign Holy God. :)

The mere fact that he became man and subject to the law automatically makes him a sinner because... Jesus's perfection was in... ...the perfect personification/incarnation of the law, not perfection as to be without sin.
Grant me to respectfully disagree with you, for you have your P's & Q's mixed up. :)

The Bible clearly explains,

1) "And having been perfected, He [Jesus] became the Author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,..." (Hebrews 5:9). A sinner cannot save another sinner, let alone be the Author eternal salvation.

2) "looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who... ...endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:2).
Only God can endure the cross and has the right to sit at the right hand of God for the sake of saving a sinner; hence, Jesus is completely pure, holy, forever sinless. Praise the Lord! :)

Jesus Christ is God who took on a human form and nature. The human nature is sinful and fallen(psalm 50) because of the disobedience of our protoparents (Adam and Eve). There is a dichotomy pleasure-pain in sin, but Jesus Christ only took the pain part from our sinful nature and not the pleasure; He could feel thirst, hunger, tiredness, physical pain and even death.
The first temptation seems to strike in Jesus Christ hunger (because He fasted for 40 days and nights and He was tired and hungry), but in reality the devil is asking Jesus Christ the same thing that the crowd asked Him when He was crucified:"If you are God, get down of the cross!". In the two first temptations, the devil tries to make Jesus Christ reveal Hid divinity by performing selfish miracles; but Jesus Christ always performed miracles out of love and mercy and He also forbid people to get loud about it. He also refused systematically to show signs to the pharisees who were ostentatively asking for them.
With the last temptation, the devil tries to turn Jesus Christ against God - the Father, by offering Him all the richness and pleasures of the world instead of the path full of sorrow that was prepared for Jesus Christ, by His Father.
I think that the tempting of Jesus Christ is a lesson for every christian and it shows us that we can defeat the devil even if we are not gods, but with the weapons that Jesus Christ (who is God) used: prayer, fasting, faith and humbleness.

He made himself out to be equal with God by admitting he was the son of God.
Jesus never claimed to be "God."

He didnt make himself out to be anything. He was God in his own right. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. He knew the Father was greater than him because he was the Son, but they were both God. God split himself into 3. Jesus said I and the Father are one. He is God.

Eternal life was created in eternity, for us & our salvation. This is a great study coupled with "glory".

24*And that ye put on the new man, which "after" God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

3*For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4*Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

26*Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh "intercession" for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27*And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh "intercession" for the saints according to the will of God.

"the Spirit itself" ie holy Spirit, with a little "h" in the King James Bible, very significant and the terms "Christ be formed in you", "mystery of godliness"- talking about a nature

This isn't too popular a concept because of what our Christian tradition says (i.e. that Christ was born perfect), but scripture can't be broken. Yes, Christ was perfected by what all he suffered through.

---

Such a concept (of Christ being perfected) seems contradictory because of (what I feel) is an equally incorrect tradition Christians subscribe to; that of "inheriting Original Sin from Adam". I don't think "Christ being perfected" is contradictory at all.

I don't know how the majority of CC members feel about this issues, but from Christians I've talked to in person, many believe that all people are "born sinful" because of Adam's sin, when instead scripture says we are "born in corruptible flesh" because of Adam's sin...and that corruptible flesh compels us to sin. But the former is what many Christians believe. However, "Original Sin" is another doctrine passed down to the rest of the Church from Roman Catholicism.

Sin is not a "condition" but an action (i.e. the act of disobeying God), while our corruptible flesh is the "condition" we've inherited from Adam. By this reasoning, I believe all are born sinless (i.e. we haven't yet been disobedient), but all - except one - have sinned (i.e. have disobeyed God), and that exception is Christ. The rest of us have succumbed to the desires of our corruptible flesh at some point in our lives and have sinned (i.e. have disobeyed God) as a result.

So ALL have the ability to disobey God (i.e. sin) including Christ (else Christ's temptation would've been pointless like HeRose says), and ALL are compelled to sin (because this flesh is at war with God), but only Christ resisted this flesh and showed he loved God enough to remain obedient to him (i.e. not sin) all of his life.

Only when Christ died could it finally be said that he "lived a perfect life...all of his life"; only when Christ died could it finally be said that "he was/is perfect, in obedience".
Not that I don't agree with you but for the same token any man, being born again through the Holy Spirit, would be able to live a perfect life in obedience, correct? If not, why not?

He is the word in the sense that he perfectly manifested the word, not literally he was the word. He did God's will perfectly and God's will is presented in his word, and Jesus did the will perfectly, making him the word enacted in a sense.
What do you think about John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God?

Because the life of every creature is its blood. That is why I have said to the Israelites, "You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; anyone who eats it must be cut off." Leviticus 17:14
Leviticus 17:11
For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life.

Acts 17:26
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

The virgin Birth – Yeshua does not have an earthly father

Like the first Adam he was Holy undefiled the first Adam fell the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] did not.

1 Corinthians 15:45So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit

Romans 5:12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

Every person ever born but Yeshua has the Blood of Adam sin is transferred through the blood of the father.
Yeshua’s father like Adam was God so He could of committed sin just like the first Adam did.
He always did the fathers will and walked close with him.

John 6:38
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
You can look it up for yourself but it is the father’s blood passed to the baby hat creates life

So Yeshua had Blood from God not sinful man.

If Yeshua had Adams blood he would not be sinless

What do you think about John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God?

Jesus is the Word that the bible was reffering to. The Word represents the mouth. So Jesus is the mouth of God. In that right and sense he is God. Perfect from the beginning till the end. John 1 is talking about how Jesus was there in the beginning all the way to the end

I just wanna know....(don't think of chewing my neck off or anything)

Um...well after his baptism, Jesus was accompanied to the wilderness where He was TEMPTED for 40 days and nights. Tempted by Satan that is...but we also know that Jesus was perfect and BORN without sin. But if He was born perfect then what was the point of the temptation...

Here is my main question, from the stated facts, I would like to know...did Jesus Christ have the ABILITY to sin? (putting in perspective that He had to be tried and tempted first before officially beginning His ministry)...

Jesus disrobed himself of the Glory that He had with the Father and took upon him the form of a servant (man) and he learned to be obedient by the things that he suffered. He was all man and a good look into this is found in Mark where he is presented as the Son of Man.

Jesus didn't sin but he certainly had the ability to sin.

Hello. Tintin, why do you think that. I am just wondering and I'm just sitting here thinking, if He had the ability to sin, how is it that He didn't, especially as a child/young person living under the law system. What do you mean by He "had the ability", thx.

Do a word study on tempted in the four gospels, "they tempted Him" the tempters tempted. God cannot be tempted in Himself, He is holy.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

The flesh is not corrupt, but corruption is in the body of death born after the likeness and image of Adam.

3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image;*

" Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."

Christ "knew no sin" meaning the nature of sin. God does not share in this nature, He cannot, He is righteous & holy.

21*For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

This is also the case for the new creature, the identity of the new man. There is something else to consider, "sin is condemned in the flesh"
This raises the question of the trinity. I personally do not believe Jesus was God for these verses because it is obvious Jesus could sin because he partook in the same flesh and blood as we are and was perfected through suffering meaning at one point he wasn't. Jesus knew no sin because he didn't do it. I wouldn't say we are born in sin or have corruptible flesh but have human nature meaning we are all inclined to sin though including christ. Christ was exactly like you in flesh and blood and you are inclined to sin just like christ was.
