cindles,
you have reminded us what the scriptures tells we must do.
the book of Hebrews states this principle in a different way,
it tells us all that after we understand the basic tenents of faith,
then we MUST move on ,'let us go on to perfection'.
another scripture tells us, 'that even as your Father in Heaven
is perfect, so also should you strive to be perfect.'
the humility of Paul teaches us that we must continually
work to walk in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.
((as he says,' not as though I have
already attained'.))
our Bible gives us so many examples that we are to follow,
analogies, like the bearing of fruit. all fruit certainly takes
a while to ripen and mature, mostly it starts out sour or bitter
before it sweetens and is acceptable and tasty to eat and enjoy.
we all should rejoice in these amazing opportunities we are
blessed with to bring forth sweet, spiritual fruits.
for myself, listening instead of interjecting my own thoughts
before others finish what they are trying to say, has been
a real trial, and I must share with you, the beautiful part
of learning to do this is just one more way that teaches me
to love my neighbor as myself.
which one of us does not want to be heard, understood and acknowledged?
