You could always venture to San Francisco California, or Rehoboth Beach( founded as a Christian community long ago and who's name translates as: Room for all without quarreling) Delaware instead. Gay communities that will show you what discrimination against straights is all about.

Good for you. Been there seen that. It is enlightening to be on the receiving end of sex discrimination by gays who hate because I'm straight because it does away with their argument that they are a victim of "phobes".

So I'll post the article when I get to a computer tomorrow. But apparently there is a bill being proposed that advertises gays having a bullet to the head. The bill is called the Sodomite Suppression Act, and apparantly calls for those who perform such acts be shot in the head. The bill is making its way to the California legislature. I'm kinda speechless and don't really know what to say to this. Thoughts?

There are a lot of legal propositions from many different groups that don't see the light of day. I wouldn't vote for the death penalty for homosexuals, but I would vote for it for those who commit sodomy if they can be found guilty (and chances are evidence would be slim). Just the same as I would vote for the death penalty for adultery. If our country is truly based on democratic principles, then that is where my vote would be, because that is the kind of country I would like to raise a family in. Everyone else can vote for whatever religious or secular principles they believe in.

But if you think putting to trial those who commit sodomy is evil, then consider that our country allows the murder of the innocent unborn who have not transgressed a single law of God's or Man's. Our country can do much worse, and does on a regular basis.

Who said anything about a monastery? Yeah, I can see how an unbeliever would think "have some FUN" would be WAY more important that resolving one's eternal security. Nothing like the "carnal minded" among us to reveal the Truth of Scripture.

I think we should consider, each one of us or even in a group prayer thread, holding Matt McLaughlin up in prayer. He's an attorney who should know this bill has no chance of living on to become a law. What would compel him to think to draw a proposal that would murder those whom we as Christians realize need to repent and be saved from their sin? Not murdered for it.

It's fairly clear you have no understanding of the "spiritual" man, but I suppose that is to be expected. And it is also fairly clear you have no great desire to seek a relationship with God, which begs the question: "Why go to all the effort to search for a Christian Forum Site, jump through the hoops to fill out the Membership info, wait for the approval, and then sign in?"

This man is a Christian. So what is he actually hoping to propose here and set as his own image as an attorney?
If someone was gay or not a Christian would they , should they, trust him as their attorney?

I would think that his actions would certainly give pause to his claim of Faith. I DO NOT want our Public Education System teaching the Bible to our children. Goodness, what a mess that would be. He may have good intentions, don't know, it's debatable in my opinion, however, even if his intentions are good, there is an old saying about what the road to hell is paved with.............maybe he just likes the attention.

Whatever his reason(s), it's people like him who profess to be Christians that cause so very many people to turn away from Christianity in my opinion.

There will always be these crazy people who misuse their religion, or even of those who are not part of religion as they have hatred in their hearts and that is what truly motivates them.
I just read an article a week ago of a bill that was proposed to do away with the gas chamber for the death penalty and to go back to using guillotine's instead to behead people. I think it was just another crazy person who is trying to enforce America has fitting the descriptions of Mystery Babylon that don't fit, as America does not behead Christians and Jews and does not sell its kids off, which are two descriptions of Babylon............

It's not a bill. It's a ballot initiative, a petition started by private citizens to put a proposed law on the ballot for voter approval. Some U.S. states have a provision in their constitutions that allow for voter-initiated action. However, it always requires a set number of signatures based on the eligible voters in the state, and it is extremely rare for any of these initiative to actually get on a ballot for consideration.

So kindly do not call it a "bill." That would imply legislative action. No sane legislator -- and admittedly, in California, few qualify for that description -- would ever propose this. And as AgeofKnowledge said, this proposal is dead on arrival. Few people have the extremist views that would cause them to even consider putting pen to paper to approve this thing being placed on a ballot.

Those of you who live outside the U.S. who do not understand how our initiative petition systems work need to cool it. Anyone can propose anything. That doesn't mean it's got a chance in Hades of going anywhere.

I don't believe anything about you, or anything you say.
