I'm so sorry to you aren't well!
Praying you'll feel better with rest and feel smashing soon 🙏
May you have a recuperative night!

Thank you very much!🙏 I am feeling better:) I'm focused and ready to get through His Word😀 I'm going to start reading soon.

I was thinking I'll start reading 15 chapters a day (starting today), which means I must start readings early in the morning. On Saturdays I'll read up to 50 chapters. That is 140 chapters a week. That would be an estimated time of finishing the Bible January 19th. Completely understand if you cannot post that amount of notes! On Saturdays I will only post key notes. God is inspiring me to do this and I have the drive to do it. Interested to know your thoughts😀

v11 I am asking the same thing!

NUMBERS CHPATER 16 NOTES

v1 The men that went before Moses

v2 250 men

v3 The men questioned Moses and Aaron about their leadership over the congregation

v6-7 Moses says him and the men will takes censors to see is holy by tomorrow

v9 Moses said that Levite men took for granted the God chose them

v12 Dathan and Abiram refuse Moses’ command

v13-14 The Levite men question Moses further

v15 Moses gets angry with the Levite men

v17 Korah gathered the congregation against Moses and Aaron

v21 God said “Separate yourselves from among the congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.”
Twice God has wanted to do away with the children of Israel. Once before he killed a group of people in the children of Israel by fire. He allowed the Amalekites and Canaanites to kill a group of people in the children of Israel. Now he was willing to kill a group of Levites that were challenging Moses and Aaron. God mentioned consume the congregations - not clear if that meant the entire children of Israel or only the 250 men

v25 “And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.”

v26 Not clear who Moses is speaking to since it said he was speaking to the congregations, but he also says to depart from these wicked men. Who are the wicked men? Was Moses only talking to the people in v25 therefore the wicked men were the 250 men?

v27 “Dethan and Abiram came out” along with their families

v29-30 Proof Moses is the holy one among the men that challenged him

v32 The earth swallowed up Korah and all the men that appertained unto him

NUBMERS CHAPTER 17 NOTES

v1 God is speaking to Moses

v2 Twelve rods for the 12 princes of Israel

v3 Aaron’s name was written upon the rod of Levi

v4 The rods should be laid in the tabernacle of the congregation

v5 God will choose one of the rods and that man will be blessed

v13 The children of Israel are questioning Moses

NUMBERS CHAPTER 18 NOTES

v5 “And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.” - The purpose of the sanctuary and altar

v6 The Levite are still doing the service of the tabernacle

v8 Aaron is given the charge of Heave offerings

v12 They drank wine

v21 God gave the children of Levi a tenth of Israel’s inheritance.
I need to review where the inheritance stands at this point. God has gotten upset with the children of Isreal a few times. Caleb and Joshua and their seeds were to enter into the promise land with their seeds. There was also the children of those who murmured against God, that he showed grace towards that wandered in the wilderness for 40 years I think it was

v23 “…your generations…” - Is God saying that they will have the inheritance in v21, but at this time for “your generations” they have no inheritance?

v25 God is speaking to Moses

v26 The Levites take an inheritance from the tithes of the children of Israel and should make a heave offering to the Lord for it

NUMBERS CHAPTER 19 NOTES

v1 God is speaking Moses and Aaron

v1-10 Purification of sin

v11 “He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.” - 7 is used again

v12 In reference to v11 must purify yourself on the third day to be clean

v13 Your soul is cut off if you do not purify yourself after touching a dead body. Touching the dead was a serious offense. How did they go about burials?

v14 “This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.” - Interesting, death was a serious thing to considered

v16 More law concerning dead bodies. Answers question for v13

Verite, you're killing me here
I admire your drive. Especially when reading through the entirety of the Bible the first time, it can be exhilarating.

I'm not going to pretend to be able to keep up with you. But, pondering this, I think changing things (mostly on my end) will be helpful to us both. I think that I'll hold off posting my daily notes, such as I have. If I come across something that I feel is of interest to mention, I'll post notes. I think I'll focus on replying to your notes instead. This will also give you more time to focus on your daily reading without having to read even more (speaking of my notes here). So, you read as much daily as you would like and are able to, and I will read as much daily as I would like and am able to. And I'll do my best to keep up with your notes daily (offering any commentary, as best I can).
This is just a suggestion that I thought would help us both (and me to keep up with you  ).

You continue to do smashingly!

Blessings 🙏

NUMBERS CHAPTER 20

v1 The children of Israel are in the desert of Zin during Abib. Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh. We didn’t read much about Miriam

v2 The children of Israel are against Moses and Aaron again…

v3 Not clear on what statement the children of Israel were making, but I know it’s not a good one

v4-5 The children of Israel questioning with complaint

v7 God is speaking to Moses

v10 Moses calls the children of Israel rebels

v11 Moses produces water out of a rock with a rod as God instructed him to do in v8

v12 “And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eye of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.” - Is God saying that Moses and Aaron didn’t believe him are this congregation of Israel? If Moses and Aaron, when did they doubt the Lord? It makes sense for it to be the children of Israel, but the wording appears as if God is talking about Moses and Aaron

v14 “…Thus saith thy brother Israel..” Israel’s (Jacob) brother is Esau. It appears messengers of Moses are speaking to Esau

v16 “And when we cried unto the Lord, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt…” - was the angel Moses?

v18 It was mentioned before that Esau is Edom. Edom told Moses messenger they could not pass through his land

v22 God is speaking to Moses and Aaron

v24 God said Aaron should not enter into the promised land because he rebelled against God’s word at Meribah. I have to go back and review, did not see that

v28 Aaron dies on mount Hor before the congregation as God directed. Moses and Eleazar come down from the mount

Not trying too!😅
I admire your drive. Especially when reading through the entirety of the Bible the first time, it can be exhilarating.
Yes! I have all my notes typed, therefore on the second read, I can add to it and each time moving forward. I couldn't think of marking up the Bible with all these notes!😅

NUMBERS CHAPTER 22

v3 Moab was afraid of TCOI for what they had done to King Sihon and King Og

v4 Midian is mentioned in this verse. The Midianites sold Joseph into Egypt. Moses’ wife was a Midianite I think.
Trying to note Midian in regard to Moses’ wife and claims that Midian is associated with Ethiopia. If the Bible does not make that clear how can that be assumed? Zippor was king of the Moabites

v14 Balaam refused to go and curse TCOI

v29 Balaam is not shocked the donkey is speaking?

v31 This verse answers v25. I wonder how Balaam recognized him as the angel of the Lord

v35 The angel of the Lord tells Balaam to go with the men. I thought God was angry in v22

v40 Balaam is getting treated well because they think he will curse TCOI

v13 Balaam tells them that he will curse TCOI from another place

v20 Balaam says that he should bless TCOI

v27 Why is Balak still thinking Balaam will curse TCOI?

@CarriePie I'm still under the weather a bit, feeling better than yesterday😀 I should be back to the same stamina within a couple days. Learning a lot. The children of Isreal keep sinning and God gets angry plenty with them. They don't teach you this in Sunday School! I have to finish up to Deuteronomy 18 tomorrow. I think I should be feeling well enough tomorrow. Hope you have a restful night🌙

There is a lot more of God getting angry with the children of Israel coming through the OT!

I've been doing household chores...and at the moment I'm cooking lamb :D
But, I intend to go over your notes later!

I hope and pray that you will feel all of smashingness soon!!
Have a peaceful & recuperative night 🙏
