It's very informative but before we take stock of global Christianity we ought to come together on a definition of Christianity.
Not easy everyone thinks their denom is right.

My point is that just as not all of Israel was of Israel, not everyone claiming to be a Christian is.
Anyone can follow the tenets of any religion, and be whatever that is. But this is not true of Christianity. To be a Christian you must be born from above.

The verse you quote is about final judgment. We all come into the world spiritually dead and we don't know who might get saved. But we aren't to follow blind guides or countenance sin for the sake of inclusion.
I see that Paul and nearly every great saint thought they were the greatest sinners. My conscience does accuse me sometimes and I will repent. However I don’t have their sensitivity. I wish i had their sensitivity to seeing myself as a great sinner because if that were so it would really mean I am close and know Him and I follow Him closely.! hello and Good morning, I would like to believe that most denominations are the body of christ, not one person is perfect. all fall short of the glory of God, how ever. if your born again Christion and your in the word, and know JESUS, and walking in the spirit, aplying the word in your life, you will know, the good trees, from the bad trees, from the fruit that it bares.
Yes it is hard or impossible to hide that you are owned by Him (and you know it) and love Him. Because of the Spirit that is in you, you can know if another belongs to Him …. Sometimes, however: ……”don’t pull up the chaff with the wheat leads” you to believe you can’t always recognize those that are His!
From my old person experience there is a difference between currently popular churches and what is available in the churches that existed from the beginning in terms of help to become sanctified or Holy. Many believe that simple confession of faith in the cross only without works is enough. Faith does not exist without works (James). I believe He will separate the righteous (those given over to faith AND obeying Him and being little Christs, “Christians” will be saved. Those that confess His name now (“lord, lord…) and do not obey Him, will be the goats not the sheep gaining entrance to heaven. I am pressing on to enter the narrow gate, to obey Him, never offend Him. I know He loves me, will be merciful to me, a sinner, and by His grace I will be saved!
BTW, good works never hurt anyone’s soul.
