Here's a teaching video the sin friendly greasy grace crowd really wishes would be taken down by Youtube

God's Word teaches us that we are expected to be over comers thru the power of God's Word and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Here's a few scripture references that many refuse to accept of believe:

1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil

John 8:34
Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 3:7
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOES righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1 John 3:6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

1 Corinthians 15:34
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

1 John 2:1
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Galatians 5:16
Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:24
they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 2:14,15
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Romans 6:1,2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Romans 6:7 (YLT)
for he who has died hath been set free from the sin.

Romans 11:22
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 8:13,14
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

2 Timothy 2:21
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Amen to the verses. I can't watch the video now because I am in the midst of a power outage, but I do intend to watch it in the future.

If Jesus sin go and sin no more that testifies that God does not want us to sin.

Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

If a person hates sin, and does not sin, and allows the Spirit to lead them to live as such they will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

And God will give them an escape from the temptation so they can bear it.

So if we can have the power to be Christlike then there is no excuse and required of us.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

These people will not let go of the flesh and do not come to the truth.

And the blood of Christ cannot wash away their sin.

For if they say they cannot abstain from sin then surely they are living in sin.

Which God said turn away from them because they are not a good example of Christianity to the world.

If Jesus said go and sin no more that testifies that God does not want us to sin.

Yes, but almost all churches and preachers today teach it's not possible to stop sinning and if one tries to stop sinning... it's a sin to try!

They have been deceived in to believing even after getting born again and getting the Holy Spirit that they STILL cannot stop sinning.

I never invite people like this to my house or hang out with people like this because according to them they may bust out in to sinful behavior at any moment as they believe they cannot control themselves (even though one of the fruit of having the Holy Spirit is Self Control)

Amen to the verses. I can't watch the video now because I am in the midst of a power outage, but I do intend to watch it in the future.

Yeah this guy has some very good teachings. He went home to be with the Lord a few years back but there's over 100 videos of his that can be found online at https://www.youtube.com/@holdingfirmly

The only major error I've heard from him so far is that he spiritualizes end times events and claims there is no rapture and no great tribulation and at some point the 1000 Year of Christ just starts one day. He just seems to mention this in passing as he is not someone that teaches on end times events which is a good thing seeing he's wrong on that topic.

It is clear from Scripture, as sighted above, that sinning is not inevitable for the Christian. God has provided His enabling grace to make the believer an overcomer of sin in THIS life not the next.
Further, God has provided in the atonement of Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, deliverance not only from sinning but cleansing from indwelling sin, the root of sinning. The blood of Jesus cleanses from ALL sin, outward and inward. Praise God.

Yessir!

Sadly the glass half empty crowd will be along soon to claim they just cannot get victory over sin claiming God created them to be a sinner in the womb so they think it's not possible to sin and so they claim they are a sinner who sins in word and deed every day because that's what sinners do, is SIN

There would not be millions of people believing that unless there are preachers with influence telling them that impacting many.

I'm wondering how many people would actually embrace the Bible if they could not hear it according to their own lusts.

For these people do not want to give up the flesh.

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Like these people who would not accept the truth of the Bible but a false interpretation they will accept that caters to the lust of the flesh which they will find teachers to confirm how they want to hear it.

What I have to give up fleshy desires that I so love well the Bible is not the truth.

What I can enjoy fleshy pleasures that I delight in and have eternal life having the best of both worlds the Bible is the truth.

So although there are preachers preaching that many people want to believe it like that before ever hearing that from a preacher.

2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For that is the only way they will accept it when they first consider Christianity for they do not want to give up the desires of the flesh but eternal life sounds good.

It is funny how the 'must sin crowd' ignore all the Scriptures that promise deliverance from sin and pull out the 1 John 1:8 card, always out of context. The truth is that they just love their sin and won't admit to it. One of the true signs of regeneration is a hatred of all sin and a longing for holiness of heart and life.

For Israel their redemption lay in keeping the law so that they could look forward to the resurrection of the just and then eternal life. Their law had provisions for what to do when they broke the law. They they could not keep the law was understood. One can read the frustration of Paul reflecting on his trying to keep the law using only the power of his flesh (Romans chapter seven).

Christians cannot keep the law using their flesh as well. The key here is to transition from the selfishness of the flesh to the selfless love of Christ-likeness by walking by the Spirit. Exhortations to be obedient, try hard, and shun sin all appeal to the flesh and actually hinder one's spiritual growth. The flesh is not mastered by strength, but by surrender.

Israel's redemption did not lay in keeping the Law but rather by the way of faith. Mankind has always been made right with God on the basis of faith, not Law.
The flesh is not mastered by surrender but rather by crucifixion. 'Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have CRUCIFIED the flesh with its passions and desires' Gal 5:24.
Just tweaking your comments.

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

It's a sign of the times that so many have a form of godliness but deny His power. Paul really nailed that one.

Mankind has always been made right with God on the basis of faith, not Law.

Eze 18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Israel was always to obtain righteousness by following the law. When Jesus came faith replaced law as a source of righteousness, but those of Israel were to still keep the law, but not for righteousness;

Rom_10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have CRUCIFIED the flesh with its passions and desires'

I am skeptical of those who claim they no longer sin because the flesh has been crucified. I consider the verse refers to the compulsive power of the flesh has been broken.

I see the path of Christian maturity to be walking by the Spirit which requires abandoning walking by the flesh.

Rom_13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

One might measure the "success" of a church by how many members are like Christ

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

By this metric every church is a failure. I see this as a result of Christian misdirection. The Lordship people rest confidently in that they have made Christ "Lord" of their life and the believism people rest comfortably in having met the minimum requirement.

Most are unaware that to put on Christ, they need to put of the flesh. Since the flesh is simply selfishness, they do not understand that the selflessness of love (1Cor 13:4-7) is simply abandoning self interest for the sake of Christ and others.

Many think that by simply not committing murder or theft that have not sinned. Jesus shed some light on the depth of sin by talking about lust in the heart. If you want to get rid of sin, you have to get rid of self.

2Co 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Rom_13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

We are to progress through sanctification and become more like Christ.

We can't be fully like Him because He is God.

We don't become "sinless"; we just "sin less".

Christians cannot keep the law using their flesh as well.

Ah but we have been given opportunity to receive the infilling of the Holy Ghost and submitting to His leading based on God's Word we can blow sin right out of our lives like a bazooka!

Romans 8:1,2
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Sadly most of the newer fake so called "bible translations" omit the last part of Romans 8:1 so they can make it sounds like there's no condemnation to those walking after the flesh. That's a lie!

If you sow to the flesh you shall of the flesh reap corruption (see Gal 6:7,8)

Some seem to think that what Jesus did at the Cross take away sowing and reaping.
They are in error.

We can't be fully like Him because He is God.

That's not what God says in His Word:

1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

Now being like the Lord is only applicable to those who have died to self

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Sunday morning quarterbacks (play like "christians") still walking after the flesh need not apply until after they repent of their sin and get right with the Lord and actually start living as though they are being led by the Holy Spirit to do the Lord's will rather then their own.

Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
