This is somewhat of a simple testimony. I just want to tell how faithful God is to us. Yesterday evening I had a lot going through my mind. I felt burdened about some things. I went for a walk, as I do a lot, not only for the exercise, but to clear my mind and to refresh myself. A lot of times while I walk I'll talk to God, hum a tune, or listen to my music. Yesterday I forgot my MP3 player and I haven't put music on my phone yet. I was just feeling so discouraged about a few situations. As I continued to pray in my mind asking the Lord to give me strength to face the challenges I heard in the distance on the local churches playing the hymn "God Will Take Care of You" on the church bells. I must be honest, I have never really cared for that song, I think that it has a very boring tune, but since yesterday it has a new meaning to me.I hummed the words to myself and for the first time I payed no attention to the tune, but to the words. God is faithful to bring peace to our hearts when we feel overwhelmed by the issues of life. It may seem like a simple thing to some of you, but sometimes God uses the small things to bring peace to us and to get our attention. I thank God for the small things in life because they matter too. Sometimes the simple things can be a blessing to us at other times they can be the things that keep us from being blessed.
