God is all present, He's everywhere I go,
Should I ascend up to heaven or descend far below.
If I stay where I am or depart from thence,
He's wherever I am...that's Godly presence.

God is all-knowing, who's council does He need?
Who's advice did He seek when He first decreed?
Unlike unto men whose wisdom is growing,
God is infinitely wise...that's Godly knowing.

God is love, and love has a price.
The price of God's love is His Son, Jesus Christ.
He set aside His glory and came from above,
And died on the cross...that's Godly love.

God is mercy, so rich and so free,
When I confess my sins and from them flee.
And return to the Lord, He forgives abundantly.
No sin is too great...that's Godly mercy.

God is salvation, the One God in three,
Working together to save wretched me.
The Father must draw, Christ is the oblation,
The Spirit confesses...that's Godly salvation.

But all that God is my pen cannot write,
Because my mind cannot fathom all His marvelous light.
So may these verses help you to somewhat understand
Why I believe God is...so wonderfully grand.

God's nature is that of three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Therefore, God is my Father who created and I am His son. Also, God is my Brother Jesus who comes into my heart and abides in me and I in Him. Finally, God is the Paraclete, the Teacher and Source of all True Wisdom, and I am His Temple.

In Scripture, God tells us that He will be our God, and we will be His people. This means two things, a two way relationship. I belong to God and God belongs to me.

God offers Himself to me and I accept, and I offer myself back to God. An offer I can't refuse.
