Basically, Satan already sees God face to face and all His goodness but turns and rebels against Him anyway because he wants God's glory and worship for himself. If you've walked with God for any length of time, you know that God does good (even in evil situations) for those who love him, so you know God didn't do anything wrong to deserve the dark and evil opposition He gets from that little jerk.
On top of that, Satan is actively trying to ruin every fellowship God has with humans. Think about that. We haven't even done anything to him to deserve his attacks and yet this what he does. Satan lies to those who don't know God to try to prevent them from getting to know God and HIs gospel and get saved. He also persecutes God's loyal people to try to make them fall away. If that doesn't work, he'll try to entice them with false teaching, etc.
So if God doesn't want to redeem him of all this, I can understand why. I had a friend who had just become a Christian quite a few years back and he said he felt sorry for Satan. But he didn't fully know how Satan attacks yet. I told him, "Don't feel sorry for him. He HATES you and wants you DEAD - in your sins and in hell. He don't care about you." And thank God he took that to heart!

Not really. Jesus already told us how God regards Satan now: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (Mt 25:41)...
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev 20:10)
He is no longer Lucifer: And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Rev 12:9). And his casting down to earth is only temporary. Later on he will be imprisoned in the bottomless pit, then finally imprisoned in eternal Hell.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev 20:10)

God, won for us all through Son as risen, who first in his willing physical death took away all the nasty nines and dirty dozen for us to get given new life in his Son's risen Life, that God raised back to life from the dead, after Son preached for three days in Spirit prison back then also.

This why Jesus yelled from that cross "It is finished" (John 19:30) what is Finished?
The fulfilling of all Law and Prophecy of his coming here to earth and taking away sin for us the people, all people. Leaving left only one decision left
To believe God or not in risen Son or not
No more half sham Gospel of Hey I am forgiven, thank you God, and then go and do whatever one chooses to do or not do, not ever getting the new life offered in the risen Son for them too as the disciples got and have reported to us the people in the scriptures
Jesus is the Lamb of God that took away all sin on that cross first, everything but "unbelief" to he is risen where new life in each person begins new in love and mercy too. thank you

The Scripture could not be more clear:
God loves Satan and the fallen angels. Jesus weeps for them as He does for unredeemed man.
2Sa 18:33
And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!
Absalom a type of Satan and the AC.

Not sure but what does love have to do with it? Well Satan made his choice already. Satan was there with God in all His glory power and endless love yet left Him. When God is talking about how he has fallen and how he walked in the garden.. what we think no love in those words? But Satan already made his choice. This is something no matter who what or where but when it comes to GOD.. just get stuck there GOD.. we do not cannot understand this. See we've seen nothing.. we were born into darkness we know truly nothing of the light were as Satan knows its all yet freely left it. Its why there is no redemption for angels.. its only for man because we didn't get to make a choice. Praise GOD glory to JESUS He came because GOD so loved the world.
The answer is clear: God does not love satan. For the very Reason Gods, nature hates sin. He is Holy. This narrative has been creeping into the church for some time and is unbiblical. Love produces redemption, forgiveness, and relationship with GOD. Satan will not be redeemed or forgiven. He has already been Judged. The word of God doesn't state he can be saved. That is why satan hates you and me.
Yes, God is loving God. But God also hates. Like idolatry, or homosexual people, or pride, or abortion.
Psalm chapter 11
The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the Wicked, and the one who loves violence.
God hates the thoughts, deeds, and desire of evil people. God reacts with righteous Revulsion.
Why does Jesus hate wicked. There wickedness is mark of deep rebellion against God, against his authority. They also refuse to repent.
You don't think wicked people harm other people. False brethren use bait tactics. Use psychological warfare. These are tactics of the enemies. How about slander or intimidate or bullying or spread false teachings or fear.
Rebellion turns people against God. False prophets have done it the past. In numbers, korah started a rebellion against Moses. It ended badly for the wicked. God opened the earth, and it swallowed up the rebels.
Another reason God hates the Wicked. Because there wickedness is expressed against God's Election. Wicked people turn there fury against God's people, mocking them, persecution, and brow beatings.
God will judge the wicked for there rebellion.
Psalm chapter 7
Wicked will be destroyed on judgement Day.
The Reprobates won't repent and won't change from their wicked ways.

Lucifer pride caused his death sentence. The wicked have the mentality of Satan. Pride is root cause of rebellion, and wickedness.
Hate is dangerous. The fake religious leaders murdered Stephen. They murdered Jesus and John Baptist.
Anger leads to hate. Hatred is rebellion. Some one harboring hate towards person, taking action has serious consequences, like murder.
Hate is dangerous.
Matthew chapter 18
Jesus tells us humility is the key. Pride leads to destruction.
Lucifer is example of pride and hate. Don't go down that path.
Obedience, and humility is the way. What did Paul say in Corinthians, Charity is the greatest. Its love.

I actually think this is a legitimate line of thinking, Our God's character is a Gracious God, A Merciful God, a Loving God, its Who He Is, we understand the Character and personality traits of God, and He can't be any different. Part of the reason we can totally trust Him is that He's a fair and Just God.
So it would be God of different Characteristics if He was not gracious and merciful to all of His creation.
To me when Cain was doing wrong God warned him to do what was right, or he would end up succumbing to sin.
To when Satan was doing wrong God also sent numerous warnings to him, to do what is right or he would end up succumbing to sin.
God sent Isaiah to the king of Babylon, and warned Satan, what he will do if he keeps walking in sin.
Isaiah said to him "you have said in your heart (heart)( because he actually hasn't done it yet" I will ascend into heaven, I will exact my throne above the stars of God, I will be like the most High"
Also we can read in Daniel, about the king rebuked and chastened being made into a beast and to eat grass.
Also in Daniel it was prophesied as future that Satan will ascend into heaven and throw some of the stars down to earth. As explained in more detail in Revelation a third of them.
Dan 8:9-10 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
To me Satan is a numbskull, God told him what he would do if he didn't buck his ideas up, and like Cain he kept on rollin.
To me there is a time when the door of forgiveness closes but that is more dependent on the person than on God, once someone understands the truth and see's God has a plausible and legal redemptive plan, and they then still make a conscious decision to reject Jesus Christ then they have committed an unpardonable sin is how I see it.
Heb 10:26-27 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Those who accept the Word of God and trust God have now received eternal life.
To me once God left heaven, and became flesh and dwelt amongst us, Satan had a bout of severe indignation and ascended into heaven, was opposed by Michael and his cohorts, and himself along with a third of the host were cast down to earth.
And the Lord saw Satan fall as lightning from heaven.
Satan is a defeated humiliated and powerless being, just like the other fallen angels, as per the gospel accounts.
He will be used by God in the future and only as a tool to bring about events like the judgement's on the earth in the tribulation as God has planned, so to me he eventually made his choice and is a rejecter of God and His Word, and The Savior His only begotten Son Jesus Christ .
So it would be God of different Characteristics if He was not gracious and merciful to all of His creation.
