Also, on the contrary i do not believe we should hate at all. We should not "love the sinner, hate the sin." We should, "love the sinner." Period. We as fallen humans cant help but add malice to our hate, and sin is part of the nature of the sinner so hating the sin leads to hating the sinner, both directly and indirectly. God hates sin and sinners in a way we cannot, in a perfect way without malice, out of justice.

Due to the fact we cant hate the way God can, we are called simply to love. When you act it should be out of love, whether you are rebuking your fellow christian or comforting a friend.
 
So i ask all of you because the "hate the sin love the sinner" cliche is unbiblical, will you change you view and feelings to what God's scriptures teach, or will you disregard the scriptures and follow a god of self? The scriptures teach us to love the sinner, to do all we do out of love. The cliche calls us to hate as well as love.

Really, where does the scriptures teach you it is ok to hate ????

The bible says hating is another and those who hate another Jesus says they have already murdered in their heart.

You may want to reread what he said. He did NOT say the Bible said to hate,he said the CLICHE "hate the sin love the sinner" calls us to hate.

Where does the scriptures teach you that ALL hate is sin? I have shown that God indeed hates certain people. Is He sinning while doing so? Think deep before you answer.

I know I said I agree with this but I have to admit that I made a compromise in my intelligence to gasp the expression "hating without malice". I am guessing it is your way of saying that God is just. Why not simply saying that He is just? Why saying that God hates with a perfect hate? It sounds ...stupid.

Why are some christians here so quick in defending this idea of a hateful God? It's beyond me.
 

I think God hates sin and the sinner. God loves the repentant sinner, but he plans to cast the unrepentant non-believing sinners into the Lake of Fire. So in that respect, God does not separate his dislike of sin from those who commit sin. Our sins are only blotted-out via the blood of Christ, which is why God does not hate believers whom Jesus called to repentance.

I don't agree that God hates. Hate is a human passion. The Lake of Fire is not the expression of God's hate, but of God's love. God is fire, a consuming fire, the Holy Spirit is fire, the heart of the disciples was fire while Jesus Christ was talking to them on the road to Emmaus. Of course I am not talking about the material fire that God Himself created, but about the un-created fire and light that the very nature of God irradiates.

I imagine you refer to the same passages that are brought up by atheists when they try to prove that God is evil?
And why the smile? If God really hates people... is that a reason to smile?

Both atheists and a lot of christians (including myself) treat the Bible as if it was a book available for any mind and person (no matter how ignorant). Nothing more false than this. Christians, do your homeworks! There are plenty of books that explain the Old Testament, that explain Judaism, the language used in the Bible etc. etc.
Sola Scriptura is only possible if you have strong preparation in history, not if you have a Bible, read it, but ignore the context of it.

Things are not so easy as they seem. However, I am more right when I say that God loves than you, when you say that He hates.

It saddens me that a person had the idea to start a thread about God's love for the sinners and the christians found a way to bring this thread down. I ignore Jason's theology (in general), but the topic about God's love is supposed to be a matter on which we all agree...

He is really no different than jason. Maybe not as deep.

They refuse to answer how A person who had a complete trust in someone, say, GOD. And even though that someone, say GOD, never lets them down, they would ever lose faith in them, to the point of walking away.

Yet over and over we have seen parents of children who have committed horrific crimes, Prove their unconditional love to them, They did not disown the child. they were still the child of the parent,

You have God taking his parent hood away, and kicking the child out of the family WHO HE ADOPTED.. (ie he made a mistake adopting the kid to begin with)

Sorry bud, 1 John 2: 4 and 1 John 1: 6 can not contradict the literal words of 1 John 1: 8.

Your problem is you need to adress those two verses and make them come into agreement and not contradict 1 John 1: 8...

1 John 1: 8 still stands. no matter what you say.

Thats like saying John said in those two passages that John was claiming that 2+ 2 is 5. yet in 1 John 1: 8 John said 2+ 2 is 4.. He is either a child who does not understand things, a old man who is losing his mind, or, (if he is an apostle of God) we missed interpreted him to say 2: 2 is 5 in the other two verses. he was actually talking about something else
