From: John 8 verse 34; 2 Peter 2 verse 19a; Galatians 4 verse 8; Romans 7verse 14; Ephesians 2verse 3b; Romans 6verse 6 ~ “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.” They are slaves of corruption. When you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. You were of the flesh, sold under sin. We were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. Our old self was crucified so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

Ephesians 2:4-7 ~ Because of His great love for us, God, Who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. :)

1 Corinthians 4 verse 7b; John 3 verse 27; Romans 9 verses 15-16 ~ What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did also receive it, why do you boast as not having received it? John replied, "A man can receive only that which is given him from heaven." "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." So then, it does not depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

Blain you can quote dozens of Scriptures to those people and they ignore, contradict and outright deny deny deny them.

If it was simply a matter of misunderstanding, you might think someone would ask. How many do you think do?

No, in fact many of them rush headlong into tossing out erroneous assumptions and false accusations instead.

Like the guy who repeatedly accuses me of claiming God hates humanity when I have never said any such thing.
yeah maybe I was being a bit optimistic

Jesus’ words in John 6 verse 65 ~ I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them. Plus Colossians 1 verse 21 and 2 verse 13; Ephesians 2 verse 1a and 3b; Philippians 1 verse 6 and 2 verse 13

he chose everyone but what magenta is saying is that they must be drawn to him first the natural man in their sinful ways cares not for the things of God so they must be drawn to him or quickened first.

Romans 9:15-16 – "For He says to Moses: 'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.' So then it does not depend on human desire or effort, but on God who shows mercy."

Thanks for this, bro: I understand now.
Magenta is one of the good ones and is very wise the ones who believe in selected salvation well you will see them soon enough and you will learn that most of them cannot be reasoned with when you meet these people just tread carefully because they like to argue their point with scripture but they take it out of context

John 3 verse 16 says it is on the basis of His love for us. Would you agree that is the reason?

John 3 verse 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Sure, sister: but doesn't that LOVE equate to our FAITH in HIM? Sorry, I'm not meaning to go against you.

Well, that guy would be cured of misunderstanding if he saw you repeatedly post art panels
containing 1TM 2:3-4, DT 30:19, MT 23: 37, 2PT 3:9 and JN 3:16.
(Implication is a real part of semantics :^)

If God isn't the One that Gifts us saving faith, then where does it come from?
God gives every ability including MFW: whether to choose life or death (Deut.30:19),
whether to seek salvation or ignore GW (Matt.7:7, 23:37), and whether to believe in Jesus as Lord
or be anti-Christ (John8:42-47).

Don't forget: HE Loves us all! We're all God's children.
Hi Douglas. And welcome!

Your post here is unfortunately what many believe.

We are NOT His child UNTIL we are born again, from above, by His Will.

The unsaved are NOT His children. They are of their father, the devil.

God will not toss His Children into the Lake of fire.

Fathers discipline. They don't kill.
