God's ideal diet IS vegetarian.
Man was originally created as vegetarian:
In the Garden of Eden, God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed
which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to
you it shall be for food." Gen 1:29
Man ends as a vegetarian:
In the New Heaven and New Earth. No more death ( ie, slaughter of animals ) Rev. 21:4
Isaiah 11:6-9, foresee a return to this vegetarian world where the wolf, lamb, lion, cow, snake
and little child co-exist peacefully.
Basically, there are health vegans and ethical vegans. Many vegans are both. Health-wise,
a diet high in animal fat and casein from dairy products is a trigger for many of our Western
diseases, specifically heart disease and cancer.
As man returns to a Garden of Eden diet, a vegetarian diet, scientific research confirms that this
diet is responsible for the prevention, regression, or even the reversal of many of the diseases
present in our society today.
And from an ethical standpoint, I believe that God’s instruction for mankind to behave as benevolent
stewards of His kingdom on earth has been basically ignored through mankind’s selfish choices.
Mankind must cease to be motivated by the desire for oppressive power, and instead work to eliminate
the shameful, gruesome and inhumane practices of factory farming for food and fur, indiscriminate
hunting, poaching and other animal cruelties that threaten the very definition of humanity.
We see that being vegan was God's initial plan in the book of Genesis, and is his ultimate plan in the
book of Revelation. Yet is it OK to live up to God's ideal of being vegan today? Of course!
As Jesus said, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10).
However, eating certain meats is allowed in the Bible. Therefore, vegan Christians and Christians who
eat meat must not look down or condemn each other, because "God has accepted them"

Okay then I will give you some verses to digest:
Genesis 9:1-3 (ASV)
[SUP]
1 [/SUP] And
God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

Luke 9:13-17 (NIV)
[SUP]
13 [/SUP] He replied,
"You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish--unless we go and buy food for all this crowd."
[SUP]
14 [/SUP] (About five thousand men were there.) But he said to his disciples,
"Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each."
[SUP]
15 [/SUP] The disciples did so, and everybody sat down.
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]
Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke them.
Then he gave them to the disciples to set before the people.
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]
They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
Acts 2:46-47 (KJV)
[SUP]
46 [/SUP] And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house,
did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
[SUP]
47 [/SUP]
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

[SUP]

and He took it and ate it before them.
1 Timothy 4:1-5 (NKJV)
[SUP]
1 [/SUP] Now the Spirit expressly says
that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
[SUP]
2 [/SUP] speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
[SUP]
3 [/SUP] forbidding to marry,
and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
[SUP]
4 [/SUP]
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;
[SUP]
5 [/SUP]
for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
I know that is what you were taught, but as you can see, THAT IS NOT what GOD's Word says.
You are trying to label a personal choice or perhaps what may be a personal conviction, erroneously as "God's ideal diet IS vegetarian", as if it was a command from GOD, and that certainly does NOT square with the Word of GOD.
Deuteronomy 18:18-20 (HCSB)
[SUP]
18 [/SUP] I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.
[SUP]
19 [/SUP] I will hold accountable whoever does not listen to My words that he speaks in My name.
[SUP]
20 [/SUP]
But the prophet who dares to speak a message in My name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods—that prophet must die.’
