Upon conversion, is a brand new convert automatically at rest in Christ even if they haven't yet learn by taking his yoke and following his example of the Sabbath: either from the example he gave through Ancient Israel in the OT, or his actions on the Sabbath during his ministry or the instructions given from his Apostles in Acts 15?

First they have to understand the eternal rest that is promised to God's people in the New Heaven and New Earth...,that they have eternal life because of Jesus work on the cross...not our ability to follow.

The passage "be still and know that I am God" is powerful.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 says that the new covenant is the writing of God's laws on the inside of a person - enforced by the blood of Christ - whereas the old covenant was when those laws were written on tables on stone outside of a person - enforced by the blood of animals - where they were eventually broken.

And Ezekiel 36:27 says - And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

If you examine the Sermon on the mount and compare it to the laws given at Mount Sinai, you will see they are very similar but not exactly the same.

Uncircumcised gentiles were admitted as proselytes of the gate if they agreed to keep sabbath and follow the Noahide laws that are listed in Acts 15:20. Proselytes of righteousness had to be circumcised and follow the law of Moses, ie, convert to Judaism. That was what the pharisees in Acts 15:5 were insisting the gentile believers had to do.

I know that Gentiles weren't allowed past a certain point in the old temple system and only the High priest was allowed n the Holy of Holies...then only once a year.

They tied a rope around him and he wore Bella..,that way they could tell if he was still alive or if God had struck him dead....if he died they could pull him out by the rope.

I found it pretty awesome how Jesus told us that God had changed the covenant with humanity..,.we no longer approached a mountain we trembled to even touch...we had a heavenly Father who lived us and sent His son to die for us.

Why would anyone want to keep the covenant at Mount Sinai when Jesus mediated a better one and sealed it with His own blood?

New believers in Christ come under the burden of Christ's law the moment they enter the new covenant, just like the Israelites came under the burden of Moses' law the moment they entered the old covenant.

v10 God tells us the 7th DAY of the WEEK is his SABBATH DAY
v8;10 God tells us the 7th DAY is to be kept as a HOLY day and NO secular WORK is to be done on this day
v11 God tells us the reason is because it is a memorial of CREATION and the CREATOR and God blessed the 7th DAY and made it a HOLY DAY.

CONCLUSION: Gods SABBATH was made in the CREATION WEEK on the 7th DAY of CREATION. It is part of a FINISHED WORK in creation. The 7th DAY God set apart as a HOLY day because he RESTED from the WORK of CREATION. God commnads us in the 4th Commandment of the 10 Commandments to REMEMBER the 7th DAY of the WEEK it is a HOLY DAY that NO secular WORK is to be conducted.

People are free to agree with him if they want.

It is not about anyone agreeing with me ot not dear. It is about seeking first the KINGDOM of GOD and his RIGHTEOUSNESS. SEEKING Jesus for yourself through the WORD of GOD alone. This is part of the NEW COVENANT promise found in Hebrews 8:11 about KNOWING GOD. God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if
we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
