We could reach out to him, even with the scars on the hands. Lord let the pain of the past, be the last crumb of hatred, cruelty, whatever , as that is about all that the world has to offer, a crumb, something that will never satisfy.
Our God, spreads a table before us in the presence of the enemey. He satisfies our soul.

Nice Scripture here in Ephesians 4:31 Jkalyna.
The enemy often tries to throw things in our path to cause us to focus on as a tactic or redirecting what we're suppose to be doing.
Like when we're at work and someone interrupts us, and we forget what we were last doing.
If that person, like a fast talking salesman tries to keep us interrupted we would never get our work done.
So as it is with our enemy interrupting us in our duties in the Lord.
What we take joy in and what we subject our focus and concentration on can start to become a part of our identity and character.

Focusing on the troubles of life lends to keep us focused on the troubles of life.
When one could be focused more on hearing the Holy Spirit and adhering to Gods word.
We can be aware of the obstacles we encounter to be ready and prepared for them, but those things we should not eat of
...lest those things actually turn around and consume us.
We are told to eat of the bread of life, consuming Gods word, thereby becoming a part of him and him in us,
not more a part of the world.
Keep our rest in Christ so the enemy doesn't keep us up all night.
Allow righteousness be your belt, and faithfulness the sash around your waist.

God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.2 For this good news—that God has prepared this rest—has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God.
