In light of some recent reported posts and in order to save Admin time dealing with reported posts it seems that some guidelines may be helpful. (these are not directed at any specific user)
**Make sure that the post you are reporting supports the behavior you are reporting. Don't click on some random post from a user and say they are being rude or that they are posting heresy unless that specific post supports the behavior being reported. None of us in Admin have the time (or inclination) to screen through hundreds of a user's posts trying to find the supposed offense.
**If you are claiming that a user is being rude or making personal attacks, make sure you aren't part of the problem. Routinely I reject reports for this type of behavior because the person reporting the post is part of the problem in which case (in order to be fair) I can either do nothing or infraction all users involved.
**Before reporting someone for heresy read their post numerous times prior to clicking on the report button. Routinely when seeing this type of report whoever reported a post completely misread the post or read something into it that wasn't there.
**At times when dealing with persons who are consistently posting heresy (as is regularly accused) it is helpful to report a number of the offending posts rather than one single one to better substantiate your claim.
**Remember that just because you personally don't agree a doctrine doesn't make it heresy. Rejecting historic essentials of the faith is heresy, a lot of what gets reported as heresy is just bad doctrine.
**PLEASE REPORT HERESY**
All too often what gets reported as heresy is not, but I routinely find heretical posts that have never been reported.
Heresies (not all inclusive):
Rejection of the Deity/Eternality of Christ
Universalism (everyone ends up in heaven eventually)
Rejection of the Omniscience/Omnipotence/Omnipresence of God
Rejection of the Trinity
If you need clarification, feel free to message me.
