Hi am a new here, need prayer desperately. My husband of almost 20 years walked out on our family. I left my job over 10 years ago to raise the kids and take care of our household. My youngest daughter is 18 and now we are wondering where he is. We found out he has another younger woman in Mexico and has been sending her money for the past two years. This past November he lied to me and said he was going to visit his brother who was ill. I found out he went to meet her in person for the first time. He has not contacted us and if he ever does he will probably just file for divorce. That is fine by me as I don't tolerate a liar and a cheater. I just need prayer for wisdom, peace and divine guidance that I always do God's will.

I don't hold ill will toward him or the other woman. If he found happiness elsewhere, that is great but the fact that he doesn't even have the gall to tell me is what has me wondering if he thinks he is coming back home and everything will be just as it was before. With his lying, sneaking money, calling her and telling his co-workers he has a new, much younger and better (to him) woman; I don't see how I can ever tolerate him being in my same house.

Thank you, in advance, for all your advice, prayers and help. I will seek to speak with an attorney next week to see what rights I have and what my next step towards divorce would be.

God's many blessings on each and everyone of you.

Your next step towards divorce is filing papers on grounds of adultery, and abandonment. Stop waiting and wondering when/ if he's gonna come back. Odds are he's living with his new flavor and won't return. He's made his choice..

I'm not waiting, except only on my attorney to call me back. I'm asking for prayers, that's all. Thank you.

I'm sure I will. I will take what I can use and the prayers are the most important thing, dear. Thank you.

Welcome bambinalatina, sorry to hear about your situation. You and your children deserve better than how you have been treated. As the scriptures says you as a wife are suppose to be loved by your husband as christ loved the church. Not saying you do, but if you have any bitterness towards your ex husband please bring it to God. God will judge what he has done to you, but it's important it didn't produce any unforgiveness that God doesn't want us to have in our hearts. I pray that God comforts and protects you & your children.

Thank you, I appreciate your words of encouragement. I hold no ill will toward him. I forgive him. As I stated in my above post, if he found happiness with someone else, that is great! I know God has a plan for me and my life so I will rest in the knowledge that I depend on God's provision and nobody else. I always prayed for my husband but he was pulling away from me more and more and most importantly, he was not listening to God. I could sense he was not happy when I talked about scripture and God's will. I guess he knew he was doing wrong and his conscience did not feel good when God was mentioned. I know I will be okay, God has guarded my heart and I will be strong for my daughter who needs me so much right now.

Welcome to CC, bambinalatina! :)

It sounds like you're proceeding wisely. Praise God for that! :)

If I may make one suggestion, you might consider signing up for the daily devotional from Divorcecare.org. I found it to be timely and encouraging as I went through my separation and divorce.

I am not so quick to say its time to leave, but it seems like it is heading in that direction. I will pray for your family. I pray things work out according to God's will.

Thank you!! I appreciate it very much. God's will is the perfect will. That is all I need.

Will keep you in prayers.

I would be hurt and angry and ten thousand other emotions and thoughts.

Some states allow for spousal support since you haven't worked for 10 years....something until you can find a job. Hopefully you have access to money to pay the bills, etc.

Praying that God will show you how to handle it all, and keep trusting in faith that GOD will provide.
