God has given bad laws as taught us in Ezekiel. Yahweh defends His Children, He does not require His Children to defend Him. His reputation is in tact, but He has given bad laws.
Even in the New Testament, Yesha, Jesus, taught by example to ignore certain laws when the option of mercy is present, i.e. the woman caught in the act of adultery, who, according to the law,should have been stoned to death (it seems unfair that mention of the man is never made). It is wonderful to know the difference between the good and the bad. In orde to know the difference we must learn the difference when our Master says, "I desire mercy and not sacrifice." If there are bad laws, there are good laws, and the good laws are forever. Love is one of the three gifts we may take with us from this age to the Kingdom. Love completes all of the law.
There are many intellectual approaches to argue about laws, but the Holy Spirit puts His seal on what we should learn, not flesh, not even in the form of a comparativ religions professor. We must turn and become as childre in order to approach our Father. Too mny folks think He will be impressed by the number of books we have read or the number of letters behind our names. This is not so.
Eze 20:23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;

Thank you for bringing to mind these things. To refresh the memory is good. I read the whole chapter, and how clearly, how plainly God communicates with man. (Oh the patience of our Father!! the kindness and mercy!!)
Wanted to point out, reading the chapter it is striking, how plain is the talk! It is so clear, and then the last verse...

JJ you are so right, in that all the learning in the world will be of not profit if we neglect to hear the Word of the LORD. It is so simple, yet man makes it hard..always trying to add their twist to what God is saying. Like Balaam, the LORD has spoken yet Balaam kept inquiring because God did not say what he wanted to hear.

Perhaps it's you that misunderstand. Replacement Theology just doesn't work. Having the view that Christians have replaced Israel goes against everything the Bible says about God's grace and mercy. Not to mention faithfulness. I won't bother quoting all the scripture for you, because you'll have to deal with the issue of theology first to see it.

Our Messiah is our Creator. He lived as a man, Yeshua is a Jew, and a Jewish Rabbi, with the Jewish name of Yeshua (which means salvation), who had good Jewish Parents and kept the Torah. His mothers name was Miriam (Mary) a virgin to whom Yeshua was born. Her espoused husband, Yosef (Joseph) was a descendant of King David's. Joseph was descended from Solomon while Mary was a descendant of Solomon’s older brother Nathan. Miriam and Yosef were Observant Jews. Miriam was also related to the Priests though Her cousin Elizabeth, the Mother of John the Baptist. Yeshua (Jesus) was circumcised on the eighth day as prescribed in the Law of Moses and Miriam also followed the purification Laws.

He was a Jew but not a blood jew, for He did not have a blood jew father, nor did He come from a jews egg, mary, for He was put into her by the Holy Ghost.
And besides that, whatever Jesus was in the Flesh, so is His Church, for they are One Flesh Eph 5:30-32
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Of course YES the Christians have a claim to Messiah. For goodness sakes, isn't Messiah's hands big enough to hold the whole world?....I had hoped this thread would provoke love, not jealousy strife or envy.
I've heard questions that said Messiah wasn't a descendent of David, and referenced the KJV (idk about other translations) so here is an explanation.

In Biblical times there was no word for father-in-law, just as there was no word for grandfather. Joseph can’t be the son of both Jacob and Heli. According to the Jerusalem Talmud (Chag. 77,4), Heli was actually Mary’s father making him Joseph’s father-in-law. The reason the two genealogies are different is that Joseph was descended from Solomon while Mary was a descendant of Solomon’s older brother Nathan.
Joseph and Mary were actually cousins although many times removed. Since Heli had no sons, Mary had to find a husband from the tribe of Judah like herself to protect her father’s estate.(See Numbers 36) She also needed a direct descendant of Solomon to perfect her son’s claim to the throne of David, since Nathan’s descendants weren’t of the Royal line. Joseph fit the bill on both accounts but like every other descendant of Solomon’s carried a blood curse disqualifying any biological son of his from ever being King of Israel.(Jeremiah 22:28-30) Since Joseph was not the Lord’s biological father, he could adopt Him, qualifying Him to be King without passing Him the curse.
Thus, because of the virgin birth, Jesus became the only one in Israel qualified to sit on David’s throne, and remains so to this day.
As far as the genealogies go, notice that the passage reads “fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon and fourteen from the exile to the Christ.” (Matt 1:17) Technically the exile occurred before the reign of Jeconiah ended, so Matthew counted him again at the start of the third list, giving each 14 names.

So then you agree with the Christ Jesus that
1) all foods are clean (Mk 7:19),
2) that love fulfills the whole law (Mt 22:37-40),
3) that all who do not receive Jesus of Nazareth as their Savior are condemned (Jn 3:18, 36),
4) that we are under a new covenant, the one promised in Jer 31:31 (Lk 22:20)?
And you agree with the words Jesus spoke in these last days (Heb 1:1-2)
in his revelation through the NT writers (Lk 24:27, 44-45) that
5) the Aaronic priesthood has been changed to the order of Melchizedek (Heb 7:11),
6) where the new eternal, never-ending High Priest (Heb 7:20) is also King,
7) that the change of priesthood required a change of the law (Heb 7:12)
which was established on the basis of the priesthood (Heb 7:11),
8) that the law has been set aside because it was weak and useless for righteousness
(Heb 7:18-19),
9) and that a new and better hope than the law; i.e., the new covenant, by which we draw
near to God has been established (Heb 7:19; Lk 22:20),
10) that the new covenant has made the old (Mosaic) covenant obsolete (Heb 8:13),
11) that salvation from God's wrath (Ro 5:9) is not based on works of righteousness,
12) but only on faith in Christ Jesus (Eph 2:8-10; Jn 3:18, 36),
13) and that true faith produces obedience to the NT commands (Jn 14:21, 15:10)?
