ommo! like this! thank you again :)

I'm not very good at online chat or blogging but im so tired of the negativity on face book. I love everybody on there but sometimes you need to step back and recharge and meditate on Jesus. What better way to do this than with a multitude of my brothers and sisters in Christ.

hello & welcome @ both you & GilaSemut !

i've found that the best way to counter the 'negativity' is not to get tangled up in it, but to keep your focus on what is good and kind, and in everything we say, try to give God honor and speak the truth.

A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.

(Proverbs 15:1)

sometimes you'll see negativity even here, mostly in dicussion about politics and the Bible - but a different kind; don't let it bring you down. because people get very worked up over these things that are very important to them.
for the most part, almost everyone here says the things they do because they are trying to honor God - so sometimes they get upset with others because they think somehow that they are not showing God proper respect. if we keep that in mind -- looking for the treasure hidden in that field - and try hard to love one another, seeing past what looks like hostility to the reasons behind it, and always forgiving the same way we have been forgiven, i think we can all do better at making & keeping peace :)

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
(Matthew 5:9)
