Hello,
Sorry to be so heavy on my introduction but..
I've been a Christian for a year now, but the past few months I find myself tempted by the sin of lust.
I have prayed about it and asked to be strong or to been shown why I am so drawn to it but I'm not getting any answers. :-(

I have a family, which I'm hiding this from.

There are others here that are facing the same struggle. You have prayed about it so now it is in the hands of God. I will pray also for God to deliver you. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

Brother, I suggest you try to visit puredesire.com It's a very good website helping people gain sexual integrity. They help you deal the root of your problem and not just the symptoms. I believe it'll be worth your investment. But if you have someone in your church available and you believe mature enough to handle you, that would be better. Sexual struggles esp if it's something you struggle with for quite a long time requires more than prayers. You've got to do something practical. It grows in the darkness but weakens when brought to the light, meaning you confess it first to God then to someone worthy your trust. Ask God to give you someone to mentor you on this particular struggle. Accountability does wonders, promise. It is highly encouraged by the Bible. James 5:16 and James 1:25

Welcome, mister B. I assure you that you have come to the right place.

Satan is very real and very active, but God is greater. God is not looking for perfect people. God is just looking for people who will completely surrender to Him, do their best, and let Him take care of the rest. Just remember that whenever you mess up, He will pick you up, brush you off, and walk the next mile with you. All He requires from you is a humble and contrite heart of repentance. It is a long run, but He loves you and will never forsake you.

The pleasures of this world are fleeting. But the Heavenly home He is preparing for you is eternal. Bless you, my brother. Praying for you and with you.

I prayed for you. Don't watch secular t. v. or movies, as almost everything hollywood pumps out is full of various sex crap. Figure out what triggers your lust, and avoid those things.
