While under normal circumstances, I'd say that CC is not a dating site, some couples have met on here. We in the Singles thread generally try to focus on fellowship rather than romantic relationships, but if you do happen to connect with someone, there's no shame in that. Chocolate, food, music, and throwing shade at the Bible Discussion Forum are our usual fare, in roughly that order.

Personally I'm single and enjoying it. 
But strictly as a friend, I welcome you to the Singles Forum. This has become the default "cool" forum where people are pretty chill (usually) and talk about all kinds of things. We have some married people here too - they just couldn't leave their friends in Singles only because they happened to get married.
I recommend the "Streams of Consciousness and Thought" thread, as that has become our de facto Sharing thread. I also recommend participating in topics in general, whether your main objective here is to find a date or just to hang out. Nobody will know what you are like until you start talking.

The site doesn't judge, but some of its users do. I picked up on the name too, but figured I'd wait to see how you acted before jumping to conclusions. Others are more cynical.
But there are many judgmental people on this site. Mostly the are strays from the bible discussion forums.
