Help for Religious OCD video

@shittim , this is a video to help with people struggling with religious OCD. I thought it was very well done. I personally have experienced religious obsessions and it is burdensome. Please comment on my thread instead of putting a negative reaction on my opening post. You are welcome to tell me what you found boring in the video.
It is giving place to something that does not exist. giving God first place as He requires is not an obsession. Any adult who is truly Christian knows this. We are clearly to "keep our mind stayed on Him. Jesus told us clearly many in this age would have an "outward form of godliness denying his power, this video seems to applaud and celebrate luke warm faith.
This isn't something that should even be explained to a Christian, Ephesians on is pretty much where we are now in these last of the last days, and it clearly explains we are no longer our own if we are truly His, His thoughts become our thoughts, His actions become our actions. Just as Jesus said, "I only do what I see the Farther do, I only say what I hear the Father say".
Why would you even begin to think walking out our faith is a medical condition???????
So sad and unfruitful to waste ones gift of life in such error.

Listen to this part- he remarks how he went to college and paid someone to feed him garbage, no wonder he is confused, saw it all the time at the Iowa University I worked at, young people paying people to steal, kill and destroy what little faith they had at a college that murders the unborn and teaches medical students to do so. This guy has no grasp of relationship with the Savior, only a pitiful outward form of godliness.----
It's a shame not everybody is as perfect as you.
Unfortunately the problems addressed by that video do exist. They may not pertain to you, but they are very relevant to some people.
There is nothing wrong with walking out your faith and giving God first place.
There problem arises when you obsess over things like praying the right words and then having to redo the prayer again and again. Or if you obsess over lying such as maybe you got home at 5:31pm and you told someone you got home at 5:30pm. Some people keep on worrying that maybe they committed the unpardonable sin despite much reassurance that they did not.
Those are just some examples of obsessions one may have involving religion.
These involve religion, which is NOT what genuine Christianity is, walking out ones faith and giving first place to the Father through the atoning work of Christ is relationship, not religion.
Jesus was very clear we are to know Him personally, not jump through hoops of ritual and religious practices to make ourselves right with God, Jesus paid it all.
The video shows people who miss the mark and do not walk in relationship with Christ. specifically the one in number 4, he never had right relationship with Christ, was not grounded in genuine Christianity, thus when tossed about by every wind in college by a "religious expert" he was tossed to and fro.

There have been individuals in my path who argue the truth is worth repeating. Then they procede to give a political party line, a relative philosophy, scientific theory,, etc. as truth and say it iw worth repeating, never mentioning the reality known by all who believe Jesus-Yeshua, that being the Gospel, and the reward to come for all who follow Him
Anything dealing with our Maker is eternal, His gifts of faith, hope and love. He is Love, so that gift is part of Him I must say. The Kingdom is eternalal, not this age, for what we call time will eventually end for it is only relating the movement of ehavenly bodies in relation to one another.
Come our eternal existence there will be no sun, no m, for God will be our light. And so on.
People may teach temporal rules however they are not eternal and not genuinely truth.

In religious OCD, there can be a lot of rituals and religious hoop jumping. The rituals ( compulsion) may make someone feel better in the moment and then the anxiety just comes back again. It doesn’t mean someone struggling with this is not saved. I am in agreement with you that religious hoop jumping is not what a walk of Jesus is about.
Didnt this same young man make a false election prophecy? Has he repented from deceiving the people? And you are advising us to listen to him?

This guy still has not repented from his false prophecies and continues to make more. He does not seem to have any remorse what so ever.
In that case, people need to "shake the dust off their feet" and move on from him.
and you as well since you don't understand about taking everything to the Lord.
Seems one person in here thoroughly enjoys putting others down, yet when put to the test himself suddenly has nothing to say. Except more insults. Ranting about how wrong and bad everyone else is doesn't make you more righteous. Only self righteous. But Jesus himself couldn't get through to the pharisees of his day, so we can't expect to get through to the ones in our day, either.
