Hey Everyone,
I have been thinking about checking out a volunteer Quilting Group at my church. The website says they produce around 100 quilts a year to give away to shelters and the needy. I don't know anything about quilting, but I've sewed a few of my own garments in the past, so I understand some basics. If nothing else, I figured maybe I could help with cutting and pinning and be happy as a clam.
Now, let's be real here. I attend a traditional, old-fashioned Lutheran church where, last week, I overheard two members comparing ages. "I just turned 80," I heard one saying. "Oh, you're just a young pup then. I'm 87," I heard the other reply.
And this would be the bulk of the members of the church, God bless them all, but I believe I am where God has called me to be (which is a different church than my family.)
Therefore, I'm trying to decide which of my beloved cartoon t-shirts I can wear -- without scaring any of the little old ladies that are bound to be at the meeting.
Yes, I realize I could wear something that DOESN'T have a favorite cartoon character on it.
But this just so happens to be my day-off style, and so, in my rebellious single nature, I'm going to go with what's most comfortable to me.
* And so, what are YOUR votes for the T-shirt that will be LEAST likely to scare little old ladies?!
(These are just examples of the kinds of characters I have in my t-shirt collection -- they aren't the ones I actually have.)
1. Will the Quilting Crew be able to see all the good that Optimus Prime has done for mankind?!

2. Or will they wonder about my alliances if I blazenly promote the Decepticons instead?!

3. Should I just play it safe as a perfectly harmless Ninja?

4. Or would Toothless the Dragon be cute enough to win their trust?

5. Should I just play it safe and go with someone universally beloved, like Stitch? (I don't have any T's with any of the better-known Disney characters like Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck -- they're just not my preference.)

Yes, I realize there's a VERY good chance that NO ONE in the group will recognize or care about ANY of these characters... (But you'd be surprised by what, and how much, some people will judge!)
I just thought it was an interesting question to ask!!!
* And so... Which one do YOU think I should choose -- why or why not?
* Which one would YOU choose if you were going to a volunteer group that will likely consist of people in their 60's, 70's, 80's and up?
Just for fun, I'm going to write a multiple choice, visible answers poll asking what characters YOU would wear.
Polls only allow for about 10 options, so come back and tell us all about what YOU would choose -- and why!
"That's all, folks!!"
