Okay brothers and sisters I need some help!! God has put it on my heart to build a Christian website but have no clue what I'm doing!! If people that have knowledge in this field would help it would be such a blessing!! Serious inquiries only please because this is really important to me!! If you will contact me with any information or ideas it would be a true blessing!! I'm not doing it for financial gain but assistance to other Christians!! I'm being honest when I say I don't know what I'm doing though and need help!! I have prayed about this and know with God's helpand yours I can accomplish this!! Ok lady bug I do get what your saying!! No disrespect but I've been praying and asking for God's help!! I've got a professionals help and that's God!! You know what I mean?? Now I need advice for Christian bothers and sisters!! I've done allot of the for work "I" can do and need some help from my Christian family here on earth!! Please know I'm not being sarcastic!! I have looked into website builders, contacted a lawyer for legal purposes, checked on prices for various items, and etc!! Now I just need help with and advice from my earthly Christian family!! That's all I'm asking for!! If all someone can do is pray for me that's welcome has well!! I do appreciate where your coming from!! So God bless and keep you that is from my heart!! If you can't help in any other way I'll take all the prayers I can get!! I honestly don't know anyone whom can't use prayer!! Bill

That's a great question!! Ok I have found that when some people need to talk it's not during convenient hours or hours when pastors and counselors are off!! So I'm going to start small and then build from there to get people to either volunteer or pay them to answer phones!! I was honest that I am just starting this!! God will provide me with the help and finances that I need!! I do have too reach out other Christian sisters and brothers to make this happen!! See what I'm trying to do now I hope!! I'm not here to offend anyone!! I am simply reaching out and asking for help!! This is a Christian website and I figured this would be a good place to start!! I'm not into competition with this one !! Please read the following scripture and you'll understand where I'm coming from!! Luke 17:6!! There are plenty of verses that speak about things that are impossible for Christian's on there own!! Not so with God though!! I'm simply asking for help!! Thank you all and God bless!!

Why would God tell you to build a website and yet you still need people to give you ideas?

You want a phone bank with volunteers? What expertise do you have that you can train these volunteers with? (And do you have any idea how much money a year you'd need, or how to raise that kind of money? Because in the late 1970's it cost $50,000 a year with grants and donations. It's got to be 3-5 times that amount now.)

Last I knew, there was a website called OurChurch.com that gave you some free pages, if you want to build a Christian website. I used to write Christian devotionals and I published them on OurChurch.com. If you want to spend some money, they will give you an upgrade.

I don't know if God gives me ideas or not. I do know if the idea doesn't work, it probably wasn't from God.

Some of my ideas over the years and how I figured out if they were God's idea or mine:
-- Join the prison ministry. (Seems like a godly idea, huh?) It was juvie, and I have experience with juveniles -- both delinquents and normal teens. (I've worked with runaways, throwaways, addicts, and in-the-system kids. I've faced thieves, murderers, and muggers, but was not afraid.) And it was divided into boy's side/girl's side, so naturally I went to the girl's side. I have no idea if I helped or not, until the week there were no girls on the girl's side, so we went to the boy's side. We each had a kid sitting across a table from us that we were supposed to talk to. Guess who sat across from me. A serial rapist. THAT was the moment I knew this was not God's will. (I had been raped four years earlier. Murderer? Doable. Rapist? NOT!)

-- Make clothes for teddy bears and then sell them at flea markets. Didn't work out. I couldn't sell them for half the cost of making them. lol

-- Start a family-friendly website about the lives of teddy bears. (And mind you, I did learn how to make the website, but took one offered for free in exchange for their ads on my site.) It flopped when I saw what their algorithms for how they chose ads worked out for my site. (To this day, I'm still not sure what "teddy bear" means in the homosexual community, but they were some definitely NOT family-friendly ads on that site.

-- Start a home-based business doing secretarial services and resume writing. (You haven't even started learning what you need to know to start a business, before asking others to put in the effort for you.) I still don't know if that was God's idea or mine. Kind of think it was his, because I did something that just isn't supposed to happen when starting your own business -- it became profitable after 16 months. It's supposed to take roughly 7 years. Unfortunately, I became disabled two months later.

-- Make a blog about the lives of teddy bears to make a little profit on them. (Again, I took the time to learn how, and even took the time to learn SEO -- something I bet you haven't even heard of yet, but will definitely need to learn about.) I was just hitting the numbers to start selling ad space on the site. (10000 hits a month, although I needed 20000, so I was getting there.) Decided to take another path.

-- Write a novel. (Guess what it's about. Bingo! Teddy bears. At least I'm consistent in my passions. lol) I was willing to put in the effort. It took me seven years, including two years to learn how to write a novel... along with several bad attempts first. Now that it's written, I'm doing what I need to do next. (Well, got sidetracked for 23 months, and am just restarting again.)

Am I successful at all my attempts at things? Hardly. But, I was willing to put in the effort you aren't. You don't know how to start a website, but God told you to start one? It's really got nothing at all to do with websites. It has to do with a phone bank of volunteers for something-something, but you don't know what yet, other than "God told me to." You've got no hint of business plans, investments, assets, overhead or marketing, but you're on this site scooping up others to do it for you?

Nope! Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope! I've got something you drastically need. I've got the background of information you need to know.

And, honestly? I would be more than happy to help you in an advisory position -- unpaid, no less. Except for one glaring thing I see that tells me specifically that God never told you to do this. and that's this -- If God really did tell you to do this, you wouldn't be asking for help in a part you are years away from. You'd be spending years learning what you have to know to pull this off. Instead, you rather keep asking others to put in your effort. You know what that tells me? You don't have the tenacity to pull this off!

Feel free to prove me wrong. I really, honestly hope you will. But, if you do what you're supposed to do to get to the point of getting this idea off the ground, you won't be back for two years to show me your tenacity!

As it stands now, I have no plans of going anywhere. (Of course, I've recently learned God takes us places we don't necessarily want to go, so I could be wrong here, and won't be here in two years for you to come back and give me that much deserved raspberry you should give me if I'm wrong.) BUT, I promise you this, if you're still passionate about that phone bank in two years, and you spend the next two years learning all you need to learn to make it a reality, I give you this:
-- I have the knowledge on what you need to do to get the money you'll need -- grants and loans.
-- I have scads of background in marketing cheap.
-- I have the knowledge to get your business up legally (incorporation, filing for state and local governments to let them know you are a business, and when business taxes are due. Not on April 15th. Learned that the hard way. lol)
-- I know something of business plans and mission statements.
-- I know how to start a blog, (because you don't want a website, you want a blog), and to get it on the top three SERP spots for your keywords.
-- I know how to write PR pieces and articles that will get your site noticed, and many other parts of branding.
-- I know what volunteers need to know before being put on the phone.

But I won't give you any of it, until you get to the point of understanding exactly what I just offered you. Because you need all that stuff just to get started, and I'm sure most of it flew over your head.

Learn that, and then I'll believe this is God's plan. Keep plugging on this site to get others to do the work for you, and I know you've missed God entirely!

Yes, I think the Lord gives us all ideas. That's how he leads us.
