The chatbox has been down for the past two days. All it does is show the spinning disk.

Blasted thing keeps making my phone ping, and I can't stop it. On a laptop I can at least get to settings and turn notifications off. On my android phone the chat icon was present but nonfunctional. I could tap it all day but it wouldn't pull up any chats, much less allow me to get to settings. So my phone pinged at random times every time I used my phone to check the forum.

Ah, so it wasn’t just me. I noticed it was gone when I check on my workstation at work. I saw he icon on my phone, but didn’t check it. There have been too many issues on my phone and tablet to bother using it there.
Mine did that at first, then it disappeared completely.
Oh well... I found it annoying at first, so I shut off the notifications. Then people wanted to chat with me, and got annoyed that I didn't respond right away. Can't win for losing.
Personally, I prefer to get to know people through their posts. I'm immediately wary of people who go straight to chat... and probably shouldn't be.

Personally, I prefer to get to know people through their posts. I'm immediately wary of people who go straight to chat... and probably shouldn't be.
That was one of the reasons I don't hop on there as much, other than some of the bugs. If it is an unsolicited message and I saw no post count, i guess I assume it is a spammer of some sort and won't reply.
Well, if it's not going to work anymore it would be lovely if they removed the chat icon.
