Hi, I am a christian from London.

I would really like to discuss some challenging questions I have. I found that some Christians shut down the conversation as it is to challenging for them or they are worried that new Christians might stop believing and such.

I don't want to upset people here by being to challenging with my chat or opinions.

The Bible Discussion Forum is the correct place to post theological topics.

Everyone is welcome to post theological topics over there, and then they will be open to discussion and debate by all.

No one can speculate on the response to your questions, since we don't yet know your questions.
After you post, I'm sure you'll find out what we think.

I think anything should be open for discussion …. but there are certain limitation on all sites….not with people but certain subjects.

Challenging questions may not be a problem so much as relentlessly pushing dogmas or doctrines that go against what are considered the main and plain tenets of Christianity. For example, people may question the Deity of Jesus Christ, but if you do not believe Jesus is God and insist on repeatedly arguing against those who do, and giving reasons why you don't believe it, etc, you may get in trouble. I give that as an example because it is -or used to be- the number one theological issue that could get someone banned if they pursued it, especially after knowing it is not allowed. Generally speaking, this site tolerates a wide spectrum of positions on other issues, especially considering what I have heard from people who come here from other forums. Another thing to consider is that some of the debates get somewhat "heated," and so maintaining your cool is always the best course of action. Some regularly go off the deep end emotionally and/or exaggerate a lot with statements that cannot be backed up with either Scripture or what has actually taken place in a back-and-forth conversation. Or are just plain ridiculous. LOL. Most topics come up again and again over time, and this will allow you to learn more about the fors and againsts of each position and perhaps help you deepen and solidify your own understanding. Put on the full armour, stand firm, be convinced in your own mind, and do not trade evil for evil, and you will earn respect and perhaps even gain a few friends here .:)

The more difficult the better. But "fuzzy" questions will get fuzzy answers.

And, bear in mind, that this is a wide-open audience, one you do not know all the members of. Just be ready for flack, no matter what your subject is :D

Yes, challenging is needed as controversy should bring out The Truth.
And:

Precious friend, A Very Warm Welcome To Chat.

Please Be Very RICHLY Encouraged And Edified In
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, And His Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided
(+ I and II).

Grace, Peace, And JOY!… + RICH Blessings

Welcome aboard -
It's a good thing to develop skin that's at least 12" thick, and not take too seriously anything that happens here. what surprised me 20 years ago when I started doing these forums, was how much WIDER the overall range of religious opinions was in the world. But toss in whatever you want, and don't give a second thought about upsetting anybody.

In fact with some folks, THAT MAY BE WHAT THEY'RE AFTER TO BEGIN WITH - just say'in.

Thankyou. I just wonder how people grow in faith if they don't ask difficult questions.
