I'm listening to the KIng James version of the Bible on Audible. I find it easier to focus on the words by listening this way. Otherwise, while reading, my mind wanders to other things. I'm up to 2 Chronicles where the Kings that came after David are.

You can't go wrong with the
Traditional KJ Bible.<

Cool hat.
That was a European style of the 1800s. Do you have a name for it?

Welcome!

It's my Blues hat.

That looks like a nice wool one.

When I was in Jr High an adult friend introduced me to Blues and I became a Blues Brothers fan. Trying to figure out my identity, I got the T-shirt (similar to cover art Briefcase Full of Blues). Wore sunglasses to class until the teachers got on me about that.
I wanted my own blues hat.
Dad drove me clear up to Century 3 Mall near Pittsburgh.
Guess what my awesome Dad bought me?
A brown leather Blues hat, same style as yours, with antique brass rivets that attach the hat band. I'm reading the tag in it, "registered , United Hatters, Cap and Millinary Wkrs International Union."
I wore it on special occasions until my Dad's death.

My bible version of choice is NKJV. My wife and I take turns reading the entire bible. I believe that we are on our 6 or 7th iteration since we were married 11 years ago. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

reading is a start

Studying scripture by scripture is the way to learn the Truth of God
truth is scattered here a little and there a little.
One scripture does not produce a doctrine

I have that type of hat, and it's lasted through many years of wear I forget how many and it's still holding up (although it's only 2% wool). It was marketed, by an affiliate of Avon, as the "Newsboy," so I thought it perfectly fitting for sharing the gospel, "Read all about it!" :D

I'm a 'hands on' learner. That is, I learn by "doing," so I often copy a chapter at a time from the Bible in order to better focus on the words.

Welcome to CC.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
New International Version
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
