Today I was given some feedback and wisdom that has me pondering, again. Anyone who has read half of what I say, realize that I have a tendency to be black and white on not quarreling, especially on issues that it seems possible for more than one interpretation. I cling, maybe too much, to the curtain, so much so that I neglect to look further and pray more for the understanding that is given to us. I think that I need to remember…

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 1:17‭-‬18 ESV

Complete unveiling isn't ours, we shouldn't lean on our own understanding, and our interactions should be considerate and gentle, expressing humility and the light of Him regardless which side of a biblical argument one stands on. However, that does not suggest that He doesn't want us to seek Him in every way, or that complacency in our growth or understanding is His will. He tells us to study and be equipped to express with grace and with season why it is that we believe as we do. Otherwise how can we be stewards of the cause of God?

Healthy discussion can be so edifying, huh? Again this affirms to me how important all members of His body are.

I don't want to be too hard headed or arrogant, but I also don't want to be complacent or ignorant simply because I want to keep the peace or because I accept that all knowing is not our portion, yet. Seeking Him does provide many clear answers in His word and in His Spirit. Not all, but how much should not be limited to an attitude of only He knows for sure.

So this site has helped me yet again today. I don't want to be a know it all, especially when the truth is I have so much to learn still. So many of you are so much more biblically savvy than I (truth not empty flattery). Today, though, I believe the eyes of my heart are opened a little more. Thank You Lord.

Humility isn't a blanket of who knows for sure on biblical truths as that is a disservice to Him, to His word, and to His Spirit given.

I suppose there is a balance in there somewhere but one thing I know for sure...

His truths matter, and they matter very much. He is the truth.

Having some experience in Christian chats some years ago,
I hear what you say clearly. Eventually I left that type of
discussion. Many if not most turned God into an intellectual
exercise. There are some positives in wisdom and also some
intellectual thoughts. But for the most part, I left because of
the constant theme was who knows more and who is wrong
eventually turning into bitter disputes. The thing is that we
are not here to know about God but rather we are in this world
to know God intimately. We are to live in the spirit and not the
flesh. We are to be models of Christ which leads us to the Spirit
of God. It is His will and not ours that should be done. We are
children of God and not of the law. Many argue about laws but
as Christians laws lead us astray. If as the Pharisees, we studied
only the law, means we needed to observe all the law. In we
lived 99% of the law then as scripture says, we are defiling the
law. So then what? Well as Christians we believe what Jesus
said "Love the Lord Your God With All Your Heart And Your
neighbor as yourself." In that all of the laws are fulfilled. To
indulge in argument is to live in the flesh. On the other hand,
when we are in the Spirit of God we are living in His heart.
His Spirit is our constant incentive to dwell in the heart of God.
May our hearts be eternally filled with His love. Anything else
is futile.

Wow Brother thank you. I needed to read that. Seriously, this especially made me take a deep breath of gratitude to our Lord...

His Spirit is our constant incentive to dwell in the heart of God.
May our hearts be eternally filled with His love. Anything else
is futile.

Thanks again Brother.

There is so much truth in this, very clearly and concisely put!
Thank you all, in Jesus name

Blessings to ALL this day! God is so very good to "put up" with us in all of our pettiness! I have seen and learned very much from those whom are so scholarly in the word! It all must be done in love for the word is for exhortation,doctrine,correction,ect.ect. I am truly blessed to be least among many of His children.@DustyRhodes you bless my heart with the gift of your words, thank you. I love God's ppl so much and am just happy to be a "pinky" in the body of Christ!🙏🙏🙏

Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the face of his friend. Proverbs 27:17

I dont know if this is meant literally, but I kind of think its like we are pencils being sharpened. Or was it mother teresa saying she was like a pencil in the hand of God. Now anyone knows a pencil cant write much if its blunt or worn down to a stump. It needs to be sharpend to be of any use. We are here to encourage and edify each other.

If we are friends to each other, thats what we do.
