You signed up on CC today and you're already almost 40 posts deep in pushing sexual immorality (and in another thread, encouraging self-killing)? Good grief. It's almost like you have an agenda.

???

I'm with Mitspa on that whole, why are you here, thing.

Genuinely curious.

For hugs and cuddles. I just want to be loved.

Well you are loved and if you would give the folks a chance to explain Christ to you...you might understand that our faith is more than just finding sin in people...its about finding a Savior for our sin.

She is a Christian ...its a "Christian" forum....your so smart you cant figure that out?

I'm having a little trouble. Maybe I need to go back to medical school and work out why my parahippocampal gyrus is making sarcasm undetectable for me. Thanks for the help, doc.

Of course poeple have the right to choose their sexual partners.They have that right (and have had that right) whether your religious beliefs agree with it or not. That's reality. What's absurd is you trying to synonymize two consenting adults choosing one another as sexual partners with ONE party choosing (the adult) and another party being subject to abuse because they can't consent (the child).

Choice has to be consensual, otherwise it isn't choice.

How do you know what rights people have?
How do you know that they have a right to choose their sexual partners?
Do men have a right to choose to put their member in the posterior of boys?
What is your proof that children cannot consent?
Of other men? Proof?
What is your proof that choice has to be consensual?
What does choice have to do with "consensual"?
Are you claiming that persons are never chosen without consent?
Are all conspiracies proper because they are consensual?
do you consent with satan?

How did you come to have superior wisdom to that of the Lord?

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. And thou shalt not lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith; neither shall any woman stand before a beast, to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you; and the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out her inhabitants. Ye therefore shall keep my statutes and mine ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the home-born, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you; (for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land is defiled); that the land vomit not you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people. Therefore shall ye keep my charge, that ye practise not any of these abominable customs, which were practised before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am Jehovah your God.

For hugs and cuddles. I just want to be loved.

May you find the real love. Love (agape) seeks the best for another -- love seeks not its own. And it has nothing to do with the erotic, nor with seeking pleasurable friction while damaging an orifice not made to receive the friction. Love has nothing to do with using others as an object nor with arrogantly rejecting the advice of the most loving God, who gave His only Son to pay for our sins & our selfish activities.

To experience love, mediate on Psalm 22 & Isaiah 52-53 where the atoning death of Christ is prophesied. Meditate on the Garden of Gethsemene, meditate on the cross. Seek the face of the loving God personally.

For us: He gave His back to the smiters, and his cheeks to them who plucked out the hair. He hid not His face from shame & spitting.

Behold, My servant will prosper,
He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted.
Just as many were astonished at you, My people,
So His appearance was marred more than any man
And His form more than the sons of men.
. . .
Who has believed our message?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
And like a root out of parched ground;
He has no stately form or majesty
That we should look upon Him,
Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
He was despised and forsaken of men,
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely our griefs He Himself bore,
And our sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His bruising we are healed.
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He did not open His mouth;
Like a lamb that is led to slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,
So He did not open His mouth.
By oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation, who considered
That He was cut off out of the land of the living
For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
His grave was assigned with wicked men,
Yet He was with a rich man in His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

But the LORD was pleased
To crush Him, putting Him to grief;
when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,
He will see His offspring,
He will prolong His days,
And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.
As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will bear their iniquities.
Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great,
And He will divide the booty with the strong;
Because He poured out Himself to death,
And was numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.

Trust the One Who loves you, Who loved you so much as to die for you on the cross & pay for your sins.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You're right. The citizens DO have every right to decide what kind type of society they desire and which laws they agree with. And 67% have decided that they agree with gay marriage.
Please cite your polling. The highest I've seen in reliable polls is just slightly more than half.

Christianity is dying. Young people are increasingly atheist.
You are incorrect, Romo. Millenials are leaving church, yes, but they aren't leaving Christ. "]Barna Survey: 5 reasons millennials stay connected to church

You, my friend, the one who disagrees with same sex marriage. You are no longer the majority.
For now. Wait for it

Your saying it proves nothing. You can say that the moon is made of green cheese. Where is your proof that men have rights? Where is your proof that people have the to choose their sex partners? If they had such a right, then rape would be a right. Now if you change that to the claim that two persons have the right to mutually choose each other, then that is called "moving the goal post," since that was not your original thesis. But then again that would imply that pederasty would be a right so long as the child chose. And you have no proof that children cannot choose. Children certainly can consent to things. And lets see you prove that they cannot.

Moreover, the whole theory is based on your just up & saying it. The Word of God does not give you the right to choose whatever you want. You don't get to make the rules. You don't get to write your own Bible and invent rights.

Rom. 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness; 19 because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: 21 because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
Rom. 1:24 Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: 25 for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom. 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
Rom. 1:28 And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful: 32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.
Rom. 2:1 Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practise the same things. 2 And we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against them that practise such things. 3 And reckonest thou this, O man, who judgest them that practise such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5 but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 who will render to every man according to his works: 7 to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life: 8 but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation, 9 tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek; 10 but glory and honor and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek: 11 for there is no respect of persons with God. 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law; 13 for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified: 14 (for when Gentiles that have not the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are the law unto themselves; 15 in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness therewith, and their thoughts one with another accusing or else excusing them); 16 in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my gospel, by Jesus Christ.

If you're a preacher and a gay couple wants you to marry them, just make sure you're busy that day. They can't sue you for being busy

They should realize that the Supreme Court doesn't have a say in how each state defines its marriage laws just because it wants to accommodate mass-perversion. The same law applies to the homosexual as to the heterosexual, to the pedophile as to the non-pedophile. If the Supreme Court can dictate to the states what marriage is and who the states should let marry, then it can dictate to the states the age at which someone can marry. But it knows it can't do that, because that would be unconstitutional. So is this.

My advice is that everyone who is against the Supreme Court's decision should write their state representatives, letting them know how they feel about this unconstitutional usurpation of power. Especially when it comes to interfering with a Christian's right to practice their faith and keep a clear, moral conscience.

If you write your state representative, keep the letter about 2 paragraphs long and polite and civil. You can even send an email in. I've done it before, and I got a response back.

We can anticipate divine judgment coming, as in the example of ancient Sodom; yet it doesn't seem fair
that a state like Texas (which has resisted both baby-murder and men-lying-with-men) should share in
the punishment of the nation & those particularly responsible for the heinous crimes.

So, what should states who abominate these SCOTUS imposed crimes, do?
1) Abolish marriage licensing & licenses?
2) Cease conducting marriages altogether?
3) Put in the office of county clerks a big stack of common-law papers? (In Texas, right now,
a couple can fill out a piece of paper declaring that they are common-law married.) Anyone
can grab a form and fill it out.
4) Abolish informal (no paper) common law marriage, before the courts are inundated with same-sex pairs
(or one of the two) claiming common-law marriage. In Texas you can "marry" without any
papers whatsoever, just by declaring it and acting married. But there is no common-law divorce!
So after a pair shack-up, there may be a court squabble over one claiming there was a marriage
(for alimony or whatever). So ambiguous situations happen where a couple were quasi-married,
& it is hard to figure out if they were or were not married). Satanic confusion.

5) Abolish marriage as a legal category altogether?
A possible problem with that is that if there is legally no marriage, then is there legally a family?
And then are there no parents anymore, just children who are wards of the state?

6) Should a state like Texas put on its next ballot, a declaration of independence from the USA? (Amendments to
the State constitution are very common on the regular ballot in Texas). Such a declaration would add 2 provisions:
A) "This amendment shall not go into effect for 3 months, and it shall never go into effect if the SCOTUS of the USA
shall reverse its abominable decisions." and
B) "This amendment shall in any case not go into effect until the President of the USA, shall declare that he will
not use police or military force to hold Texas in the union." ???

7) Should Christians not support #6 because new national boundaries might impede evangelism, and
because of the fact that a nation that blesses sodomy is no more lost than a nation that plays being Christian with no new birth?

8) Regardless of #7, should states that oppose baby-murder & men-lying-with-men, seek to peaceably secede (in self-defense) just to avoid a coming Judgment of Sodom in our day?

There is one particularly objectionable reaction to this SCOTUS decision, as exemplified by the dissenting justices,
this miserable reaction:

Hey, the governments that be are ordained of God. The Bible does not establish any particular form of human government (democracy, republic, oligarchy, monarchy, or mixed constitution). And whatever form the government has; if the governors are wicked, the laws will be wicked. So while I don't like the elitist oligarchical SCOTUS composed of 9 lawyers from 2 law schools (Yale & Harvard) with no protestants & no evangelicals, the abomination is not the oligarchy. The abomination is men lying with men & women lying with women.
