We can't submit to God until we submit to His word, take our own opinions and ideas and toss them out and let God's words rule.
Repentance is not just about being sorry for sin, it actually means to turn away from it and agree with God. Submitting is the renewing of the mind, putting on the mind of Christ and trying to walk that walk as best you can.

How do Believers submit to God's word? Please post scripture. How do we renew our minds? Please post scripture(s). Please post the scripture that says, "try and walk the best you can." How do Believers put on the mind of Christ? Please post scripture.
To submit is to give or accept that someone has authority.
Basically submitting to God is that you are willing to do what he says, let him makes thing he wants to, even if you do not agree with his ways, you give him authority over your life instead to someone else or making decisions always for yourself.
We are basically surrendering all we have and all we are and all we do that he will guide and lead us to live how he wants us to. He won't force this on us, so it's up to us to give him that authority over our lives.
A good thing to pray for is like Psalms 37;4 "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
It is a wonderful thing to see what God will do when you literally let him lead you through everything and stop trying to control your own life. He does much more amazing things then in your life, but just as well, a life submitting to God more comes with more suffering in this world. Another reason why some Christians will only go to an extent to submit their lives to God. They go "if I do this, I will have to go through that, ok. I'll let you do that in my life God. But this, oh no, I am not going through that for this, I will handle this myself."

Can a Christian man or woman submit to God in our own strength, will-power, ability, self-will, and power?
What I said already answers that, but I will try to say it more simply.
It is by our free will that we give God authority over our lives. God doesn't want to force us to do anything. he wants us to be who we truly are, not like robots that are programmed to do everything he wants.
He wants us to obey if we want to. He wants control over us if we want him to have control over us. He wants us doing his will if we want to do his will. Understand?
So yes. But simply that is us going "Here, God, take me as I am and do what you want with me and my life!" Then God does all the rest of the work, and because he does that, he gets the glory, not us,.
I see Apostle Paul's "wretched man" as a standard for the lives of Christians. Paul was at the end of his ministry when he wrote those words to the Romans, so I think it is fair to say that Paul, from his own expereince, exemplifies the Christian struggle.

God has chosen to operate His work from the basis of faith. "The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:2) is God's prescribed order of victory for the Believer over sin, the world, the flesh, and the Devil. This means that the Believer must place and maintain proper Faith the size of a mustard seed exclusively in Christ and the Cross of Calvary, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus, where the victory was won so that His life would be lived through you. This gives the Holy Spirit the legal means to help and do what is needed to be done in the Believers life because the Believer is glorifying Christ, God's beloved Son in whom He is pleased. You are now operating in the Spirit. No Believer can fix the flesh with the flesh. All fruits that are added to the leaves of the Believer most be done by the Holy Spirit or you enter the works of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-21).

Only the Holy Spirit can mortify the deeds of the flesh and make us what we ought to be (Romans 8:13). This means we cannot do it ourselves. Once again, He performs all that He does within the confines of the Finished Work of Christ (Romans 8:2).
If a Christian will and their efforts to live for God is in anything except Christ and the Cross, i.e., Finished Work, The Blood of Jesus (Romans 8:2), Satan can override your will and force you to do things you don't want to do and trying not to do (Ephesians 6:12). Jesus said deny yourself and pick up your cross and follow me (Luke 9:23).
Remember our bodies are dead and useless to God. The heart is prone to wander away from God's love and eat from "The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil." The reason why the body is dead is because of the effects of the fall has made us totally incapable of yielding spiritual obedience on a regular basis (Jeremiah 13:23). So there must be a source outside of myself that helps me to enter into sanctification which is the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:13).
Note: The Believer must repent not just for the bad they are doing, but also for the good they are doing. Why? Because the Believer can depend on the good to get them through (Jer. 6:13-15). Good things will always follow right living. However, that is not God's way. His way is Faith exclusively in Christ and His Finished Work (Rev. 3:17-22).

Every Christian trusts the Lord and believes Him in some capacity. The trouble is, most do not trust Him or believe Him correctly.

If Christ atoned for all sin, then no sin can attach itself to the Believer, that is, if the Believer keeps trusting Christ. If Christ is a Law-keeper, than the Believer is a Law-keeper. If Christ is victorious, then the Believer is victorious.
The Believer must understand this, trust in this, believe this, and act upon it, even on a daily basis. This is what Jesus meant by us taking up the Cross daily and following Him (Luke 9:23).

On a daily basis, we should reinforce our Faith in Christ and what He has done for us at the Cross (Rom. 6:3-5; 8:2, Gal. 2:20-21, Col. 2:10-15). Submitting is a choice. You don't have to submit. If we don't submit ourselves and God makes us submit, then he is receiving submission from someone who hates to submit to him, therefore he isn't receiving true, loving submission from the person that is submitting their life to him. When does God ever work like that? Have you missed the whole point of why Adam and Eve had sinned and why we need Christ? They had free will to submit to God and obey what he had for them to do, and they sinned by not doing so by doing the opposite of submitting to him.
Why would God blame them for their sin then if they were not submitting if we are to depend on God for that strength? God didn't give the strength to submit, he gave Adam the free will to submit or to disobey.

for you to make such a big deal about what we call ourselves being the people of God, it's ridiculous. Whether we were called Christians or chimichangas or buranas or whatever, it doesn't matter. We are who we are is what matters and what we do for the glory of God is what matters not by the sound of a word that we call ourselves. even so, Jesus does not only refer to us as disciples. he also sees us as family and friends and even more.
to make such a long speech about simply that we use the word Christian to identify ourselves that we serve Christ is ridiculous and meaningless. Just because Christ didn't tell us to use that word doesn't mean it's wrong. For us to call ourselves Christians is not a sin and therefore it's not wrong that we do that. We still also call ourselves disciples, maybe not 100% of the time but we know that we are Christians and we are disciples.
Personally, I always viewed it like this;
Asian of Asia, African of Africa, Galatian of Galatia, American of America, Russian of Russia and Christian of Christ.
It makes sense to see it that way that it's a label to say where or who we come from and what or who we are a part of. Christian seems like a nickname for being a part of Christ. Does it matter if Jesus didn't tell us to call ourselves that? No. So why go on so much about it if its not a sin?
We know we are who we are by Christ, not by what words we call ourselves.
A prophetic word... IF YOU RECEIVED ME.. KNOW THIS... I YAHOSHUA have NEVER TAUGHT YOU TO CALL YOURSELVES BY THE TITLE OF "CHRISTIAN"... FOR I have never called you this, so why are you?
