Honestly, after I got through the initial anxiety and surreal change of social rules, I am finding some wonderful side effects. I am only referencing dealing with self isolation. There is nothing wonderful about people being ill and dying, but in the midst of this there are beautiful moments. At 7 pm each night, we all step out of our homes and bang pots and pans. 7pm is shift change for nurses and this is our way of applauding and saying thank you. Neighbours are ask each other how they are doing, offering what others lack and offering to pick up needed groceries. People are home enough that we can greet each other from our balconies. Someone needed yeast and the next day a loaf of bread arrived on my doorstep.
I love to read, and I am getting back to writing fiction. I have spent more intentional time in my kitchen and I have time to really dig through what I have and try new recipes. Friends are connecting more and I've been contacted by people from around the world, including people where the relationships had ended. Friends have time to Skype or chat. We are all united.
One of the best things for me, since I have health issues, is that I don't have to miss church. If I am not feeling well I can sit at the computer, in my pyjamas and still participate. If I miss part of it, it is online. I can sing along and stay in safety.
People are not being distracted to death. There is time to be quiet and aware. There is more time to be with God and to really listen. I feel a burgeoning sense of hope, of living a real life. It is hard to explain but being home feels good. In the midst of the storm I am sheltered and so very grateful. I may have lost all of my income but God is faithful at every turn. For this moment I have my daily bread and it is good. Bored? No. I've never been so alive. Thank you Lord.

I got to read some books I dont normally have time to read.

Like a Danielle Steel. shes written so many books and they are evrywhere so I figured I would try one. It was actually pretty good she can spin a yarn. It was called Mixed Blessings and its about three different couples who deal with fertility issues.

Now I am on to a book about what else a deadly flu virus. Its called the First Horseman by John Case.

The other thing is now my garden is nearly ready for winter. I think I just about harvested and pruned every thing thats possible now.

I'm jealous of your boredom.

I'm still working 40-50 hours a week... Only now watching a toddler 24/7 with no help. My husband is working 10 plus hours a day at the hospital so I'm on my own with work and a toddler.

Although... We're blessed to have jobs and a family. Blessings are typically more work. 🥳

There is NEVER a boring moment with a toddler running around :D stressful, annoying, aggravating perhaps at times, but NEVER boring.
 
I've decided to binge Batman: TAS so I've been okay the last couple of weeks. However there has been no live sports, no like TV shows the last month. I can't hang out with my friends, go to a restaurant, as in dine in take out is still okay, yeah it's rough. People take so much for granted.

I'm about to binge the next season of Money Heist (Casa del Papel) on Netflix, highly recommend it.

I live in the bronx, we are not in total lockdown. Some business have closed but most stores have remained open because they deemed themselves "essential. So I can go to the deli, go to the super market, pay my phone bill but we have a semblance of a normal life here. Guys still selling stuff on the street, banks still open, buses and trains still working so it's ok, not as bad as I thought or it seems to be in other places. They did take away all the nets from the basketball courts and closed all the parks which sucks.
 
Never been bored these last 25 years as I always study and gather information on many subjects be it alt. health; EMF; theology; politics; alt sides of history etc, whether I had a job or not. Been 16 years at home with my wife now and we love it being close together 24/7. Never bored but then ,our six home schooled kids also keep us busy :-) Can't remember what it is to be bored to be honest...Yes, vaguely, when I was a lonely teenager end 80tees when finished with home work and stuck at home no telly, no friends to go to and before the web.
 
i might actually finish uploading this novel I wrote years ago.
If I get it done this week, I will have accomplished something. Even if it never gets published or finds a readership. Being a first novel, its pretty dire, but I had fun writing it.
 
My boredom is rocking my 1 month old to sleep and trying to NOT fall asleep myself. Also, gotta love to order stuff online and wait for the postal guy to deliver stuff and or groceries.

And good/bad news... i go back to work Monday... yay 😐
