How can you use your lips?

• Pro 20:15 -> “There is gold and abundance of costly stones, but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.”.

Lips which are full of Jesus’ ken are very precious:

• Rom 10:15 -> “And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!””.

Once Jesus, the Word of the Creator, is a sword of two edges (Heb 4:12), thus the speech of those who are guided by Him has similar power:

• Ecc 12:11 -> “The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd.”.

And all these people are precious:

• Pro 25:12 -> “Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.”.

Therefore:

• Eph 4:29 -> “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”.

Doing this, you will find out good and will be instrument of persuasiveness (for what is good), life, judiciousness, health and grace:

• Pro 16:20-24 -> “Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. The wise of heart is called discerning, and sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness. Good sense is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the instruction of fools is folly. The heart of the wise makes his speech judicious and adds persuasiveness to his lips. Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”.

So, have a good day fill your heart with the heavenly wisdom and your tongue (which you can’t control – James 3:8) will be obliged to pour out Word of Healing and Life, inasmuch as the mouth speaks about what exists in affluence in the heart (Mat 12:34-35; Luke 6:45).
